A fact -- It takes more love to share the pillion seat, than to share the bed.

I have them too. They are very good for chilly winds etc.but I don't think you can use them in rains coz they are made of leather!

Well the cramster site says its Ladakh tested plus lot of guys at x-bhp too vouch for it. I've never used gloves let alone the Twister, but reading the reviews here i'd say they are good.

            • The jacket costs Rs 4500 and the gloves were Rs 800. The jacket is of Duhan make, which is a cheap wannabe replica of Dianese and the gloves are by Probiker. Both the products are from China, but build quality is good and satisfactory so far

              • @hifisharu: As much as that riding jacket looks flashy, I would like to know does this have the protection that is normally associated with motorcycle riding jackets, like protection in the shoulders, back and the arms? If not, then it would've been better if you could've spent a triffle more (about Rs.500-Rs.700) more and got yourself either a Cramster or DSG riding jacket, instead.

However, if there IS good protection in this jacket, then there is nothing quite like it!

i agree. the jacket definitely looks good "from outside"

and about the probiker gloves, i guess you could have had them for Rs.500

                    • @aryan: well, I'm definitely glad to report that the jacket comes with full armour for the shoulder, elbow and even the back!Standard configuration of armour and removable lining. However the jacket lacks reflective 3M strips, which it makes up with the gaudy color scheme!

My primary intent of getting this jacket was for the armour and the least for the flashiness. In fact, I'm a little embarrassed to be sporting all that advertisement when I'm not endorsing anything!! My friends call me the living banner!! I would have preferred something more subtle but they had only this in the right size.

The armour is confidence inspiring but I hope I never have to put it to test (touch wood). The jacket seems VFM.

Damn, if only I had known of the price of those Probiker gloves
Build quality of the gloves is very satisfactory. I even punched a wall, pretty hard and didn't feel a thing!!!

Just a small hint: I paid Rs 7000 for that KBC helmet, so there's no way I would have compromised on the safety aspect with the jacket. Price was not the issue, but since the build quality seemed good enough, I felt these are value for money

P.S I have compared the jacket with my friend's Tourmaster touring jacket and the build quality seems equally good and he had paid about 100$ for it

Thanks for the critique fellas. But I still don't like the color scheme, just not me

                      • ^^ AFAIK - cheap jackets too have armours in them. It's only that these aren't CE approved.
every standard jacket - new one- has small cards in them which specify the warranty, type of armour & certification of armour.
If all these are there than nothing like it.

similar jackets are available in mumbai in the price range of 2-3 k.even a-stars ones albeit without standard armours

don't go helmet testing like that, kidding

Now, if you crash in that helmet, its not going to offer any protection. So, when you keep a helmet on the bike, you won't even know if some idiot had dropped it and kept it back or if some other bike fell over and hit the helmet.
