Xelement riding gear.
Hi Guys,
I have been searching for riding gear to be worn on my new Electra UCE Silver (yet to be delivered) and came across Xelement brand on many sites. They have one 600 denier tri-tex mesh jacket which is waterproof with inner liner and a similar color riding pants. Below are the links to leatherup where I first saw it.
Want to know from you guys about this brand and the quality of this gear.
From one of the sites, iOffer: An easier way to buy and sell!, I am getting both the items shipped to my place in around 190 USD (approx. 8900/-) Is this deal cheap or fair enough or costly. Would like to hear before I make any decision.
Awaiting your responses.
Rahul.

thanks bro,Originally posted by bikerfas View Post@ Calibre - To my knowledge Dollars&Pounds in madhyakailash(adyar) has riding gears. you could find some fake A* Jakcets and gloves. aprt from that you can check for some mesh riding gloves in Rainbow Helmet shop(opp thousand lights mosque).
the only other option is to order the riding gears from planetDSG or Cramster. you should get within couple of days from order.
ill check out dollars & pounds today... last time i went there i dint buy any coz all that is fake and wont last long... but i think i dont hav an option... hav to manage wit these until i go to banglore...

i wear size 42-43 for my formal shoes, and have sneakers from reebok which is US size 8(most of the brands has US size or u got check the size chart) and fits me exact. so accordingly i asked my frd to order US size 9 which would be a bit free and the size was correct on.Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostOut of curiosity, how did you decide on the size of the riding shoes ?

Hey,
Nice to know that you are working towards making Cramster a reliable brand.
Attaching some pictures.and the patch i had to get stuck on it from the local cobbler so they don't tear into 2 parts.I dont know if i really want topick up the same gloves again as my friend's gloves have met with the same/worse fate.
The other picture is of the left glove where the hole as started appearing.
And for your information, these gloves have never ever gotten wet.Plus i dont sweat much.So all I am looking for is an answer here and nothing else
And maybe after another month or so,i can courier you this pair for you to have a closer look.
They were bought sometime late Dec/early Jan.
Thank you.

Hi..
Thanks for the pix.
We have always been working on making cramster a reliable brand.
In your case It would have helped if you had earlier reported this to us
instead of xbhp ;-)
We are quite surprised that standard leather has worn out (rather than torn) in 6 months.
you must have put it to good regular use. Although we have switched over to Genuine Leather
from synthetic leather we expected to increase the life of MX3 by 4 times. But looks like
in your case it has lasted only twice as much as old MX3. It is still an improvement, but not
to our and apparently not upto your expectation. We'll take it up with the manufacturer if
we get another complaint. Many of our local friends are also using it here, we'll get their
feedback as well.
Best Regards,
Kj

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. It's good that you are working on making Cramster a relaiable brand.
Xbhp.com is a biking community I am a member of.and I have alot of friends out there.Hence,I would definitely not let them make the same mistake as I committed
Yes,I have been using it regularly. But that is why someone would buy city riding gloves, right ? You still need another complaint to take it up with the manufacturer ? Please keep checking the "Riding Gear" thread on Xbhp.com and you will see another pair of sub standard MX3 gloves which have been used just for about 3.5-4 months, and has holes all over.
Hoping, something works out in your favour soon.
The gloves issue apart, the La Place 4.0 has been a good buy.So good work there.
thanking you,
Anant Singhal

Guys... I've been using a pair of Cramster Twister gloves and Pulse jacket for the past 5-6 months, on a daily basis, and they are doing their job very well... This monday I had a crash when my bike slipped on wet road marking, and the Twister saved my palms and knuckles... and its still not torn anywhere!
My point here is that we all do have bad experiences with products we buy, and we have got all the right to complain.. but then a company cannot carry on doing business if their products are all bad. And I'm sure there are equally many people out there who have had no problems with their Cramster gear.
Just though of putting this here as a ray of hope for others who have some Cramster gear, and are reading this thread and biting their nail wondering if they made a bad choice....
Peace!

Thanks buddy..The gear does look nice, I also read the comments mentioned on the leatherup site and they are good about the jacket..haven't read much about the pants though.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostRahul,
can't really recall if i heard the brand name, the gear sure does look good and at that price it sure is appealing, you may go for these
Anyways, awaiting few more replies fro xBHP buddies....
Thanks & Regards,
Rahul.
