Yep, the jackets in the attachment come with CE approved shoulder and elbow protectors....Back protector is not provided with jacket but can be bought as an accessory (BERIK comes with back protector though).

And yes, they come with removable liner and they are Waterproof with Airvents that can be opened above the chest and near waist when needed especially during the summer.

I just needed on which brands I can trust....As I am getting it from eBay where I cannot see the jacket in flesh.

And whats the size for a 6ft guy? 42 or 44? I am always confused with the sizes.

              • Oh that's good news, have been wanting to pick up a less flashy jacket for the city rides, maybe I'll get a Breezer

                • Went to orion motors to check out DSG Nero. They had two pieces of Nero in M size one was with bad stitches and damaged warm liner and the other piece had bad stitching from inside. The air vents and the finish from outside was good but the loose threads were hanging out from two places.

For 5.2K I expect at least threads should not be loose. Even my 600rs cheap windcheater has better stitching.

Cramster guy told that on Monday they are getting new stock with refreshed models, will wait for the new models from cramster. Breezer 3.0 was far better in the fitting section as compared to breezer 2.0 even the DSG Nero. In breezer 3.0 the armours were in place with and without the liner.

                  • review of Scoyco riding pants P014

Review of SCOYCO P014 riding pants

So after a lot of confusion and brain storming session finally picked up a riding pants for myself. Its a motorcross racing pants. Now many would think why a Motorcross pants? The simple answer is these pants are made of the same cordura material that normal riding pants have but unlike normal pants these are more slim fitting and shorter in length, which is what i needed for my pants thanks to my below normal height.

There was some confusion in selecting the right size and features of the pants , so i would like to deal with these points in detail so that those who want to buy this product should know what to expect.

SCOYCO riding pants P014 is basically a motorcross racing pants. It is made up of cordura 600D, 500D and 1680D.

                    Fit and finish:

The pants comes in vibrant colors , blue , red and black. Black looked somewhat sober so wanted a black one but it was not available in my size so went for the red one. In flesh the pants have vibrant color and are quite eye catching.

The material looks and feel good , the pants have thicker cordura material on parts which are prone to constant wear and tear. The stitching is good as well.the crotch area has triple stitching.

These pants are slim fitting pants and are slightly shorter in length than normal pants reason being they are motorcross racing pants so the pants are supposed to end at ankle height and the calf area is also on the slimmer side to allow proper tucking into the boot.this shouldn’t be a problem for shorter guys like me but for taller guys , they need to be careful while choosing the pants.

The pants have elasticated waist so the fitting can be adjusted upto a max of 4inches but for comfort fit i would suggest to consider the max adjustability as 2inches only.

Inner liner is made of nylon mesh.

The pants have flexible elasticated stretchable panels on the crotch , front and back of knee, and on the back above the seat areas which allows for easy movement while on the bike.

One important thing i would like to point out is that it cannot be worn over a full length racing boot.the lower end is not stretchable and allow very little stretch to accommodate only a half length (short)riding boot.if you are using a long boot tuck it inside your boot for the best fit.

                    The only downside:

The buckle system on this pant is simple snap closure mech and i fear that it can give way over time . so please don’t go for very tight waist fitting on this pants.

                    Sizing:

Is a bit tricky.these pants doesn’t correspond to the normal pants sizes.being a racing pants the fitting is somewhat different. So i have included a size chart which will help you people in choosing the right size. For a perfect fit it is highly recommended that that you shouldn’t go by what sizes you wear for your everyday pants , instead i would highly suggest you to pick up a tape and measure yourself up and choose the best fitting from the chart and then order .this will save you a lot of hassel .this size chart is not provided on the website but was made by me after consulting Bhavishya and cross checking the L and XL pants that i got. (first i went for XL size and found it to be very big for me so had long discussions with Bhavishya and finally the pants were measured and this size chart was prepared) according to the chart the best fit length wise for me was M but taking into consideration my waist the size L should have been a perfect fit though a bit longer at the leg.however i wanted to use as a normal riding pants so settled for L and the fitting was as i thought. So i suggested this size chart for reference.

                    M L XL XXL

                    WAIST SIZE
                    (IN INCHES)

                    30 32 34 36

                    MAX EXPANSION
                    (IN INCHES)

                    33 35 37 39

                    INSEAM LENGTH
                    ( IN INCHES)

                    26 27 28 29

                    OUTER LEG LENGTH
                    (IN INCHES)

                    38 39 40 41

                    CROTCH TO OUTER THIGH WIDTH
                    (IN INCHES)

                    11 11.5 12 12.5

                    KNEE WIDTH
                    (IN INCHES)

                    9.5 10 10.5 11

                    NB:
waist size doesn’t correspond to the size of normal pants. Waist size are arrived at by measuring the waist with an inch tape. So accordingly to know the perfect waist size please measure your waist with an inch tape and use this chart to arrive at your desired pant size.

                    Features:

The pants has two vertical side pockets ,these are small pockets and have limited capacity. Pocket are easily accessible.though i wouldn’t like to keep anything in these pockets . the waist is elasticated all around for better fit.

Being made of cordura these are water resistant and not waterproof.
There are no ventilation gaps.however as long as you are moving the pants is comfortable but as soon as you stop you will sweat but then again its the same with most riding pants unless it is a mesh one.

The Knee area is slightly wider and has elasticated bands in front and back to accommodate the knee protector and at the same time allow for better flexibility at the knee.the inside on the knee has thick cordura material and front of the knee has extra layers of thick cordura.the area has a thin layer of padding as well.

The pant doesn’t have any reflectors, the outside of thigh on both side has full length rubber logos which unlike normal logos is very thick. The manufacturers of all motocross pants claims that these are for styling as well as for added protection against abrasions.

The knee also feature this kind of logo where the sliders are normally placed in racing pants.

It is provided with a loop at the back to hang the pants or to connect it with Scoyco riding jacket.

                    Armour:

Being a motorcross pants this doesn’t come with knee protector, neither there is any provision for fixing the knee protector to the pants . you have to wear the protector directly on the knee .however the pants has provision to allow for a knee protector if worn inside by having a broader knee area with elasticated panels all around the knee which stretches to accommodate the knee protector without hindering the flexibility on the knee area.

The thigh area is again provided with replacable thin padding, again there are no pockets for the pads but these are loosely attached with a single Velcro.however once the pants is worn coz of the slim fit the pads are pressed against the thigh and doesn’t move at all.being thin has an advantage ,they allow flexibility at the hip and can protect against abrasion on the thigh.

                    Price:

The pants costs Rs 2500 and i feel its a great value for money.those who have knee protector can definitely go for this pant but please use the size chart that i have provided as reference to get the sizing right.

Those who doesn’t have a knee protector can also go for this pants coz separate SCOYCO knee protector cost only 1000 and combined cost would still be 3500, which is very good for this kind of pants.

                    Conclusion:

This is a great pants for the price. Quality of cordura is the same as you find on SCOYCO , DSG and Cramster jackets ,difference being it has more areas of thick cordura panels on impact areas as well as areas prone to wear and tear.

Slim fitting pants and not recommended for use as overpants coz of the fit and additionally it doesn’t have zippers at lower end for easy on and off .however if you want to use it as over pants go for 1 or 2 size larger.

One important thing i would like to point out is that it cannot be worn over a full length racing boot.the lower end is not stretchable and allow very little stretch to accommodate only a half length (short)riding boot.

Aditionally i feel it can be used By stunters coz its not expensive , durable than normal pants, and provide better protection ,has flexible panel on joint areas which allow greater range of motion, and the protectors can be worn inside pants without compromising the movement range, looks neat and being slim fit no fear of pants catching the bike parts while stunting.

Reason why i bought this pants:

The quality of material is really good, great fitting and finally i have a pants which i donts have to shorten the length .moreover the price is again icing on the cake.well iam planning to get one more and this time the P012.

                    Some points on P012:

This is quite flashy pants, i was told that it has the best material of the lot and priciest of the lot. Its made of lycra based material in addition to cordura, so should have a better fit than P014.

It has elasticated panels both above and below the knee infront unlike the P014 which has only 1 elasticated panel right in front of knee. Result –even better stretchability at knee.

The inner thick cordura part is right on the inner side of knee, unlike P014 where the cordura panel starts from knee and move down.

And finally the buckle system on P012 is superior than P014.
So would go for P012 next .. Caution : not for those who don’t like flashy pants. P014 is more subduded so i bought it and no regrets here. Just that iam impressed by the quality at this price and now i want one more and would go for the P012 .

                    A major update:

Friends i have been using this P014 pants for sometime now and now i have come across a new limitation of this pants. As i had said earlier that the pant is narrow at the calf area and the ankle part is not stretchable as well. so how does this creates a problem ? I hope you people remember that i have posted in my review that this pant cannot be worn over full sized boots and add to that i found out that the pants can be pulled up only upto my mid calf which means everytime i want to take off or put on my knee protector i had to unzip and pull down the whole pants . in other words if you are touring and suppose you need to adjust your knee armour ,there are only two ways to do it , search for a sulabh comfort zone or close your eyes unzip and pull down your pants and hope there are no holes in your exposed underwear. In simple words there is no easy and convenient access to the knee guard in this pant.

                    Solution:

However there is a simple solution to this problem. I put zippers on the outer part of the pants on both sides. The zippers run from just below the knee to the ankle. At first i was a bit skeptical whether to go for this modification. However i decided to give it a try and it came out pretty well and gels with the pants so well that it looks factory fitted. paid 100 bucks for it . now i can reach the knee guard directly by opening the zipper, no need to take off my pants for this, besides now i can wear the pants over full sized riding boots as well. so for all those guys who are facing this problem i highly recommend you to get this done. You will simply love the new pants.

wish i could help you. but Iam like you people i buy these products ,use them and when iam satisfied i post a detailed review. i already have 3 riding jackets with me and getting one more would be difficult for me,unless someone decide to gift it to me free of cost . however iam planning to get 1 more riding pants.

i dont know about this jacket but from my experience of riding around with cordura jackets i can tell you that its gets very hot in summer, even the mesh jacket with the foam back protector on will make your back all sweaty.

what i do with normal cordura jacket is to keep the upper 1/3rd of the zipper open ,which lets in air as iam moving and keeps me relatively cool.

for details on JK24 pls contact Bhavishya from raw adventures. he would be able to guide you on this one.
