  • I have visited Orion Motors, Bangalore today. They didn't have stock of both DSG Motomesh and Cramster MX3. Where else can I get them in Bangalore ?

    Or is it ok to order it online without trying ? my hand measures 19cms ie, size Large according to the illustration in Cramster's website. So if I order large size of "DSG Motomesh" will it be perfect for me?

    This is going to be my first glove. So please excuse me for the noob questions.

        • Motocycle Gloves: A Helping Hand

          Before Buying check out for the following features:

          Construction - what to look for

          Examine each part of the glove. Features may include impact or abrasion resistance, multiple layers of material, gel packs, high density foam and finger webbing.
          • The base of the palm and wrists need to be covered with abrasion resistant material that will withstand sliding on your hands along the road. How is the protective layer attached? Will it rip off at the first contact with the road? What is it made from? For example, metal studs may protect your gloves better than they protect your skin as they get very hot from friction.
          • Pre-curved construction means the gloves are shaped with a curved palm rather than an open flat hand . Such gloves can be more comfortable on tour, because there is less fabric to fold or bunch under your hand.
          • Vents on the back of the hand allow air flow for cooling, but look at the design. How is the vent positioned and attached to the main protective layer? The vent may a weak point that could detach from the main protective layer in a crash. How are the knuckles protected? e.g. multiple layers of material, Kevlar or polycarbonate plastic.
          • Any additional layers should be double stitched, not a patch of double layer material! Check to ensure that additional layers are stitched on top of the main protective layer, rather than a separate double section that is sewn in. An inserted double section is actually weaker because of more seams and leaves your skin exposed if it is ripped off.
          • How are the fingers protected? Your little finger could be the first part of you to hit the road. They can take the full weight of your twisting body and can be very easily dislocated or worse. Gloves with some webbing between the little finger and the ring finger are designed to reduce such injuries.
          • Look at the stitching, Check for dropped stitches as this may lead to seams bursting under pressure, such as in a crash. Seams should be external rather than internal so they do not rub against your skin.

          The top gloves score highly for abrasion resistance, burst resistance, water resistance and last but not least, comfort.

          Hope this information is useful and we can use it as a checklist for buying gloves.
          Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

            • I purchased the Cramster MX3 gloves from Cramster store in Cunnigham Road, Bangalore for 1100/-. Looks and fits fine. Hope it is a good choice.

                I use the DSG revive everyday 5 days a week, and they are amazing! They are just extremely comfortable and now I don't fell like riding without them. Just get the right size for your hand, wear the gloves and check them first and as dhiraj stated above follow all his guide-lines and you will not regret your decision. I would not comment on the MX-3 gloves because I haven't tried them.
                I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                  Better save some money and go for the DSG Revive or primal.

                    I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

I will be using the gloves mainly for city and winter riding .So which of the following gloves will suit my requirements?..Also which of the above mentioned gloves offers a very good fit?(cause i have really small hands)...

                        Revive would be a better option I guess. If you consider pricing TRG2 would not be a bad deal at all. The only problem with the trg2 is the inside part sheds the black color faster than the revive and your hands would turn Grey after a ride.over a period of time you wouldn't face the problem

                          Check if you can get 2 gloves one for summer and another for monsoon... Alpinestars has both the range but the price is too high..
