Well in that case, you need to buy a iron suit with titanium coated probably . Man!!! If a 18 wheeler runs over even when you have the best of all riding jackets in the world, nothing can save you!!! Try to be realistic, go for a normal everyday street usage that will help you a lot better than riding without one.

IMO, none of the jackets is available with removable shoulder, elbow & back protectors.

and your question is ? But I assume you don't care about airflow; in that case, go for mesh jackets with or withour partial leather.

Have you gone through Riding Gears thread before asking these questions? I highly doubt that.

Most of them come with 1 yr warranty on any manufacturing defect. Did you also know that the protectors are to be disposed after any incidents.

No offense, if this is what you do, then you need to look for racing suits that costs 25K & above only for suits excluding helmets & boots & avoid all the street protectors!!! BTW, do you've wear or planning to buy a ARAI/SHOEI helmets to protect from this speeds?

Should be wearable everyday, and look like normal casual jeans. Wanted only for general road usage. Any color. Budget around 3-4000.
For your requirement on normal looking, go for Kevlar based jeans material that costs...well...here's the link - Draggin Jeans is the world leader in casual motorcycle clothing with Kevlar and Dyneema, the World's Strongest Fibre, forming its revolutionary lining

Last but not the least, Samarth, your expectations are too much, not to offend, you're expectations are like buying an inline 4 at the cost of Rs 50K, yields 100 Kmpl, 150 Bhp with 3 modes, dual disc with 6 caliper pistons with a top speed of 300 Kmph!!!

Pls get to reality by going through this thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ing-gears.html

Actually in most of the armored jackets the armor can be removed.

Which jacket do you use? Also which riding pants do you have? I am looking for a pair of riding pants.

            JR Reactor 2.0

Phoenix 2.0 - yet to buy

I saw your question on RJ's riding pants. I'm still contemplating whether to buy a VFM (RJ) or maintain uniformity (JR)

I wanted to go with the Phoenix too but it doesnt come with a removable waterproof liner. The one that does is the Alter Ego from JR. Costs 10.5k.

I suppose i'll go with RJay's since its cheaper by almost 4k. No padding on the bum though.

Actually, the armours in the Reactor 2.0 can be removed too!

I have the same in blue and have washed my jacket after removing the armours several times.

Getting the back protector in and out is a pain though!

And how do I do that? It has become quite dirty now & I've been thinking of getting it washed, but not sure because of leather tops. Any ideas how I can get it done effectively without handing it over to dry cleaner or something?

                      What's so funny man?
I mean if I stumble over the bike & fall on the road, without any other vehicle interfering, it shouldn't break my elbow/ shoulders. Is it that impossible??
After having a steel rod in my right arm for 6 months now, I just can't get humorous about the joke you made...

No, I did not go through this thread which has 227 pages. I didn't know where to find what I wanted.

On top of it, half of the guys got their gears from USA, Australia, etc. The Draggin Jeans you mention is a trouser costing some 15000 INR, that too from Australia.
I don't have a passport or paypal account. Nor is any of my relative residing anywhere abroad.

So I can't get decent gloves for 1000~? Well, the DSG Revive are coming for 1950 something...
And I checked DSG Nero Jacket for some 5900~... seems to be within my budget.

I know these may be inferior to Alpinestars, but I can't let my parents know I spent Rs. 50,000 on imported riding gears? I'm an unemployed, slightly handicapped MBA biker with a rich dad. I can't take any decision I want.

Thanks man. I selected the DSG Revive. The DSG site provided me with some info about Jackets too. I liked the nero and maze. Let's see...

Can you confirm which gears' store is the overall best? I mean, from Rjays, Joe Rocket and DSG...?

All of them are good & most ppl seem to prefer Nero over Maze, not sure why.

Nope!!! A* is not a VFM product & carries over a margin for their branding as well & that's why you've JR, RJ & Planet DSG for rescue.

                        What's so funny man?
Funny thing is that, you said you want a protection at 150 Kmph even after having a steel rod in your right arm for 6 months now!!!

On top of it, half of the guys got their gears from USA, Australia, etc.
Nope!!! Had you gone through this thread doing your homework, you could've found that most ppl buy stuffs from Cramster, PlanetDSG, Bachoo, PRS or Raw Adventures in addition to a very minor community importing from abroad.

The Draggin Jeans you mention is a trouser costing some 15000 INR, that too from Australia.

Samarth, you only saw my posts being offensive & that's the reason you didn't see why I suggested it!!! Your requirement was a plain looking clothes with no frills & there's only Kevlar type of material that is available in that category & I'm answering to your requirement.

Anyway, I don't intent to make fun or sound offensive. All I was trying to say is BE MORE REALISTIC. Had you done your homework on going through the thread, then your questions would've also been more realistic. Anyways, let that go for now.

And there's also something that suits your budget to perfect - Raw Adventures, India

They're importing Scoyco riding gears & carry much better VFM than RJ/JR or even Planet DSG. Few of our Chennai members have bought products & are more than satisfied on both the product as well as the sales experience. You may want to give a try.

Armor can be removed? Well, doesn't matter that much to me anyways
I was wrong; the armors can be removed. It does matter for cleaning the jacket.

Once again, pls let it go if my post hurt you

I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that the jacket should not be dry-cleaned. I merely dunked it in a mild soapy solution and washed it leathers and all and dried it in the shade.

Worked fine so far - I figured that we dry our leather jackets/pants that get wet in the rain the same way, right? Also I dare say that the leather was pre-treated for this, since it came with a rain liner which means that it can be exposed to water.

After that I suppose you could get the shine back in the leather by treating it with a renewing wax/solution. I'm getting hold of one soon and will let you know how it pans out.

                          • ^^^ I later realized you went to Yelagiri. So I opened the armors all by myself & indeed putting the back armor was one hell of task as the concern was not to tear off the net within. So somehow, I managed to put it back. I'd Wifey washed the mesh part without touching the leather using a tooth brush I suppose. Its all clean now.

Since I've a rain gear, I don't really care for the inner liner; all I need is a good airflow which Phoenix 2.0 provides.

Yea, I'd like to go with RJAY's as it provides more VFM than JR, but I don't like switch brands, like Jacket from JR & Pants from RJ
