I believe satyen has a shift jacket. Am also looking at the '10 model and red colour ! but most sites i visited doesnt have red in stock. If you happen to see any , pls share the link. my bro is coming down from US in june, thinking of getting this then.. Is there any specific time before that when we can get 'huge' discounts?Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostI am aware of the prices and looking at the 2010 model for now. A little tentative about the size. Not sure which one would fit right.

My shipment from Ridersdiscount of March 13th has not yet arrived...Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostI have ordered few Items from them, Lets see in how many days the shipment arrives.
But one thing i noticed,. that somethings listed on their site are either out stock or have be discontinued. so just send them a mail before you book your order.

Contacted them, was told to expect it by 2nd May - if not, contact them again
But then again, they did mention 14 working days, and counting the number of holidays we've had, I feel it's not too bad. They use DHL's Global Mail, then it comes to the local post office, it seems. So.....

Got myself the JK17 yesterday. Drove it in the hot afternoon sun while coming back. Sweat a lot but I'm sure it will be alright for winters and in the mornings and evenings. 4 vents in the front and 2 at back perform their function well. Loved the padding on the back. Quite thick. No loose ends and perfect build quality. Will put up more info after I take it for a ride. The guy whole sold it to me says that it works in light rains too.I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Info regarding shipping
Do the riders discount use USPS for shipping? If yes, then how's is the shipping experience? I know that with USPS you can only track the package within US. What was the total delivery time after the order?Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostRightly said.. the prices at riders discount are same as per product's parent site.. but shipping charges are only 25$ flat and best is that they ship india.
Which other sites do not or if they do are very expensive .
Cheers,
Abhijit

I will keep my fingers crossed... The shipping period is really too much.. but couple of posts back someone told that it took 15 days for his nolan helmet to arrive..Originally posted by Centaur View PostMy shipment from Ridersdiscount of March 13th has not yet arrived...

Wrong. The tracking page also informs when your package entered India, when its into the customs office and when its out of the office. That's it. The next thing you realize is that your friendly postman either brings you the package or requests you to collect the same from the post office.Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostI know that with USPS you can only track the package within US.Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one. And most of them are full of shit.

Read about 50 pages here on the gears n finally, today, me and my friend got DSG jackets from Orion. I got Nero and my friend a Phoenix. Didn't do much of a bargain but got it for 5250(quoted 5500)
The quality seems good and i might try it out as Blore's already getting nice rain.
My buddy had to ride back with some rain and later told that it felt nice with the jacket and water seeped in through the neck at the back.
So i am thinking of having a plastic stuck to the base of helmet covering the neck. Anyone's tried this out?

Finally
After a long wait, finally I went for buying a jacket. Only destination I knew was PlanetDSG. Not much aware fo Pune roads, I had to roam around for half an hour, called the shop twice and finally managed to locate it in a galli.
I wanted an all-weather jacket and the guy there showed me a DSG one in black...Tried it. It was heavier than I expected. I looked for other options but all weather ones were out of my range.(I had my wife with me hence the 'range' had to be maintained
). Ultimately, went for the earlier DSG one.
Looked for an all weather gloves too but the one showed had cushions inside and not much wearable in hot weather. Hence went for the motomesh.
Just now, checked the pics in PlanetDSG and saw that the jacket I bought is Nero. Hopefully, it would hold good in upcoming rains.
