summer temp upto 50 degrees daytime and 30 degrees nighttime with humidity
winter temp upto 8-10 degrees day time and upto -2 at night

i cannot afford 2 jackets looking for one which could be wearable in such weather conditions

Look for touring jackets, like the one I posted a few pages back 'Hein Gericke Timbuktu jacket'. Also, you can try the First Gear Kilimanjaro jacket. These touring jackets have a cold weather/waterproof liner inside the mesh jacket , so you can use it in all weather conditions.

                        Here's mine..

Icon Pursuit Stealth - Street Riding Gloves - I love these. All the protection is under the leather so they don't look too flashy (I don't like the Racer-Boy look on the street).
                        $55.00

Scorpion Exo Cool Rod Mesh Riding Jacket - Ballistic Nylon has great abrasion resistance and it stays pretty cool for Cali Summers. The lining does a good job in moderately cooler weather. I will however invest in a Leather Jacket for the winter. This jacket is designed for summer riding and as such does its job perfectly. Couldn't be more satisfied.
This has CE protection in shoulders, elbows and back. The zippers are big enough to operate easily with gloves on. There's retro reflective motifs on the sides and back.
                        $165.00

Look up Joe Rocket 'Super Ego'.
My wife has one and she loves it. (Don't worry, there's a men's version available )

It's a leather jacket where you can zip off the leather to expose a Mesh jacket inside. It's like having two jackets in one.

Not sure about riding in -2 though, at that temperature you are looking at about negative 14 to 15 with the Windchill at speed. You'd be best off not riding in such weather. But if you insist, you would certainly have to buy a heated vest that could go under the jacket.

But don't try it at that low a temperature. Hypothermia sets in before you even realize what's going on. Trust me on that.

I have medical belt for supporting the lower back, but then, I think it would be as effective on the roads. I came across a few back/kidney protectors on PlanetDSG. Do you think they can be good enough a buy when planning for a long ride on bad roads?

For the most part, the Back/Kidney protection is just impact/crash protection and does not do anything in terms of comfort/support.
There may be some specialized pieces of equipment for it, but I'm not aware of them.
