        1. Cramster breezer summer jacket
Cramster Riding Gear - Breezer - Summer Mesh Riding Jacket
        or
        2. Meteor Sport touring jacket
Cramster Riding Gear - Meteor - Sports Touring Jacket Armoured

        for the gloves
        1. Twist semi-gauntlet

I've got the touring jacket now. It's pretty comfortable - if you wanna get rid of the weather-proof lining inside. Otherwise, you'll be melting like an ice-cream cone in a microwave. Not good. Not good.

I tried on the Touring jacket but felt really heavy, so had to settle for the Mesh jacket from cramster (R.T.Nagar, Bangalore)

          • Basically heavier the padding, the better, because, i'm basically buying all this so that i'll be able to hit the tracks soon (i'm looking to buy the Fox knee pads too), since i'm not much of a tourer kind of guy either i won't be extensively using them either

EDIT: And how do i go about buying these merchandise online? i don't have a credit card, is it possible to pay via a money order? if so what is the procedure to be followed and how soon will i get the products delivered?

You can send money orders / Cheques to the seller. I have done these through ebay since i don't have a paypal account. It would take around 3-4 days for the payment to get through for the seller(within India) and then he will start shipping the item. If you are shipping from US / foreign country - try getting your friends credit card number - pay with it and later pay him back that money. Also, Some of them also accept online transfers (which i feel isnt safe to do so)

              • No i'm going with Cramster as of now so most of the transaction will be within India only, so the safe bet i think is to ge with the money order only, i'm planning to order the gloves first, see how soon they arrive and then order the jacket next

EDIT: Ok guys between the Cramster Meteor and the DSG Spike Jacket though the difference is only Rs. 300/- the DSG seems to offer a bit more on the features side, now my opinion is that when i'm spending Rs.4950/- for the Cramster why not add 300 more and get myself a better DSG? this is all considering DSG is better for the money i pay of course

What are the extra features that DSG Spike has that makes it better VFM (I couldnt see much difference apart from extra pockets)?

                  Just curious, that's all.

If I had to choose between the two. I would have chosen DSG. Anyways Its up to you what to buy.

                        • @DriftKing: I think your suggestion would have been benefitial to El Loco if you can provide a rationale as to why spending Rs.300/- more on a DSG Spike jacket is a better thing to do. Is it of better quality? Does it have more useful features? Or are the Rs.300/- simply rotting away in your pocket?

In my opinion, if there is no rationale, then saving the Rs.300/- for something else is definitely a better decision, especially for an income-strapped person.

                            • Well my riding gear is a DSG Nero Mesh jacket !!
well i had tried all the options !! and in the end narrowed it down to this one on 4 major points !!

                              1) Its mesh so it keeps me cool inside !!
                              2) The fitting and the movability after wearing the jacket was amazing
                              3) It looks uber cooooool !!
                              4) Priceing was also pretty cheap considering the rates here in Dubai !!5.5k inr !!

... please dont mind the gaudy pictures !!
                              sigpic

                              • Hmm if there is little or no difference between the quality of these two products then i would naturally settle with the Cramster, as i don't have money rotting away in my pocket (rather i'm having my purses getting rotted away due to much disuse), but IMO i feel the DSG looks a bit better on the screen
