Guys, I might get a Sony PlayStation3 Slim for 299$ here..

Any tips / advices for getting it safe back home? Like in any cautions w-r-t Customs check? Should i get it as a hand luggage or pack it up safe in the Check-in Luggage?

And suggestions for games are welcome.. Need For Speed - Shift already added to the cart

ull have to spend more amt than a PS3.no.since the coding the graphics the engine all are different.

^^I dont think its as bad as ur talking about Ananth. My friend happened to get a Wii yesterday(from US) and he apparently had no issues. Unless ur carrying gargantuan amount of electronics or more than one of the same item u will not have an issue!

I would just be carrying the PS3 Slim and a few games.. Hopefully nothing wrong with it i guess..

No Discounts.. Just 299 Canadian $, That works out around 13,500 INR.

Only worry would be the warranty, And they don't have an International warranty in place.

Wow that's nice, but i don't think we have PS-3 Slim here yet, though i'm not sure, also the price is literally double here for the normal PS 3 (last time i heard was nearly some 30K), so in that sense you are pretty wise in getting one abroad

Well there are lots of boards in Brigade Road here stating the new price of the PS3 as 19,990/-
Whether it is the PS3 fatty or the PS3 slim remains to be checked.
A major caveat: The PS3 Slim LOSES backward compatibility. You cannot play PS2 games on the PS3 slim (you can on the older fat PS3)

Downloaded the file and started the game. When I click "Start Career", the game crashes and exits with WINDOWS investigating the problem.

Any tips? Running it on VISTA x64.

Could i know Which harddisk brand is better for my Desktop PC which runs on QUAD & 4 GB RAM & also the price of 1 TB, 1.5 TB, 2 TB Harddisks respectively..i heard Seagate is prone to some problems...so advise me guys

Update your DirectX 9.0c from here and try again.

I bought 2 Seagate 500GB 7200.12 recently and both are working fine and so do my 250GB 7200.10 and 80GB 7200.9.
My experience with WDs hasnt been that smooth.

Apar: i dont think it supports 64bit vista. Check the requirements.

I got it in my comp, Works great.. But love playing it on the PS3 more...

Remind me next time when we meet up - May be in a GTG.. will pass on the DVD..
