^^^ yes ur true, but the fact is if a modded 360 goes kaput , then its loss of 24k isnt it ?

how many cases have u heard of a modded 360 going kaput.US also lives on modded xbox 360s.ie our age people.the dads there bring originals for their kiddos.

and its not a question of a 360 going kaput..even ur graphics card..HDD..motherboard..etc goes kaput..so then will u conclude that you it was a loss of x rs??there is risk in each step of life.even when u purchase PC things.look what happened to the 8600 line...didnt they went kaput??

in the end the chance of going kaput is slim.as far as my knowledge is considered the mod chip only makes ur console region free.it has nothing to do with the online feature.and it does not have an authentication system to check each dvd.people there play a lot online with P stuff.

i am planning to buy a new laptop close to fifty grands.i need it for running autocad and 3D max software and also for gaming

i have chosen HP DV5 1106 ax which has AMD turion as well as ATI RAEDON GPU 512 MB

Now if ur console gets it then thrs nothin much to do than get a replacemet which everyone thr has got within 15 Days frm MS.So if a modded console gets kaput then ??

All am sayin is if am payin 24K for a gaming console, i need to be sure that it wont go kaput in a year.
Anywyas i also agree wih ur point tat PS3 games are not readily available , also P Xbox games are readly available.

heating issues exist on the heavy graphics card list also due to congestion.even if the ring of death is still existing in xbox 360 that same console is still miles ahead IN sales and experience in front of the PS3.and that 66% of how many people??what i see is that the 360 is still in great demand everywhere even if that rrod exists.all the people there know that rrod exists and still they buy it.they take care of the warranty issues.risk is there in everything.its ur choice where to jump my friend.

for PS3 a new launch title costs 3k.after 3-4months that price comes to 2.5k upon popularity.i asked this to a PS3 dealer.so if u buyers can wait that long its ur choice.upgrading PC ur choice.but the thing going kaput exists in PCs also.not only in consoles.and people there like DEDICATED gaming gadgets like the 360 and the PSP.

just remember one thing.if ur mind says spending 24k on ps3 or 360 is crap.dont.put that money on the PC.end of matter.

Dude, The Laptop is good. I have the same Laptop. Had issues with the motherboard (Graphic card) - When ever i play a movie the laptop hanged and needed to be rebooted. HP Care replaced my Motherboard free of cost. Now the laptop runs fine. Check with the Dealer if the problem still persists. Good Luck.

@Avancy : thanks for all ur help .... also i spoke to many other guys who are on the gaming forum and they also aid tat if u dont mod ur xbox then thr r no issues wat so ever , cause warranty takes care of everything.

There was a gr8 deal this diwali of Xbox 360 Core + 20GB HDD + 2 games for 14.5K, tats the best deal so am goin for the hunt tomorrow if i find it i'll buy it period
