Fans of the original Half Life can rejoice because Black Mesa Source is coming soon. It's a total conversion mod of the Half Life 2.
Here's the trailer:

Looks excellent, though a bit unpolished, because it was made by a bunch of fans.
You will need a steam account to play the game.sigpic

Please do give a review on Mass Effect. I just loved this game, awesome gameplay style and a massive massive universe. Though space travel and missions do get repetitive, you always get unfinished business kinda feeling till you finish the game. Awesome.Originally posted by Aryan View PostJust got my hands on 'Mass Effect', 'Call of Duty - World At War' and 'Need For Speed - Undercover'.
COD5 and NFS-Undercover reviews were disappointing, looking forward to your opinion as well before I try it.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

Well, I have just got these games yesterday and installed them. Cannot say much about Mass Effect as I haven't got any substantial game-time on it.Originally posted by pranay View PostPlease do give a review on Mass Effect. As for NFS-Undercover, well, it seems (and plays) more or less like any other NFS title, but it is surellybetter than Prostreet! That was hideous; this is still playable (if you know what I mean).
The gameplay is fun (although 'cliched'), the graphics are good enough (no great shakes but good) while the AI seems to be lacking in any kind of intelligence at times but they (the races), for sure are fun till the time they last. I had played and completed Prostreet, there was no reason I could've missed this title.
Liking the whole NFS experience up until now (including, ofcourse the voracious Maggie Q).
Last but not the least, CoD- World At War. I just completed the first level, and it seemed to be a good title. I mean, although it is more or less just like any other world war shooter out there but the CoD franchise sure feels just a wee bit different, although the game is heavily scripted. The graphics are gorgeous (especially coupled with DX-10..
) and the gun-fights are immersive.
Overall, I am satisfied with both the titles. NFS Undercover sure did not receive rave reviews but it really doesn't seem as bad as the reviewers would like us to believe.:)

Just read through the review of GTA-IV (PC) and it has got great praises, although the user reviews say quite the opposite. The users are mainly pissed off with the installation process, which took more than an hour(!!) after which one needs to go with the tedious process of registering to save the game! That's ridiculous, really.
Anyways, let us see whether the torrents find a way around this time.
I am sure they will!
