I just dont understand how u guys even MANAGE to play Grid!!! I spent some 4 days trying to download the freakin' game, installed it and tred to get a license and voila, I was sliding all over the track. One small feather touch on the arrow keys was enough to send the car on a spinning spree!

just keep the aids on during races and keep the braking help off during drifting.

I have been playing GRiD for over a month now, haven't found any better driving simulation than this, to date, although DiRT is another one but that is based more on off-road driving events.

                  • GRiD was a tough game for sure, and because i have changed systems, i haven't reinstalled it. might try my hand at it once more, but am a bit reluctant because i got my arse handed to me pretty darn nicely the last time around.

maybe more practice will help, but as of now am neck deep in crysis and heading towards my doom (3). the fourth quake will hit soon, and theres a need for speed growing inside too.

                    • seems like quite a few people are calling grid tough...truth is... it is very very tough..... very few races have been won by me without restarting....that last race i played required 8 restarts from me

I misplaced my mouse and hence not able to play any fps ... btw..for those who download games have you tried ripped games by skullptura? it is brilliant..compact and always works

                      • Grid is one case of "realism" gone overboard in a bad way. Over realistic controls of the game makes it a nightmare to play.I haven't played much but the game made me slide my own body just to control!!

And yeah the graphics is too good!!

I agree...I have a big collection of skullptura rips But this guys of late adds water mark on the intro movies which....hmmmm...is not so good. But who cares.
Finally got GTA4 installed. This freaking game not only made me spent many days downloading 15 gbs and then hours (actually almost 1 hour) installing it, it again made me spent couple of more hours downloading and installing service pack 1 for Vista. And finally...could not play it for lack of a good crack

                          • Update:Finally got the GTA to work. Someone managed to crack the SecuROM. I needed to install Games for windows Live too.
Once in the game, I wanted to abuse the developers in the same lame language used in the game Medium settings itself consume 80% of system resources and it runs awfully slow..didn't look good either.

Damn! GTA-IV is turning out to be a pain, I guess. User reviews all over the net and now this (a first hand experience from a xBhpian) is totally negative. First, a huge game download, then a painfully slow installation followed by slow/ choppy/ inconsistent gameplay and insanely high system requirements!

I thought GTA-IV would be a great title which would provide hours and hours of gameplay (which it does no doubt). But, what is the use when we cannot even play through the title properly because of so many bloody bugs!
