whats the main difference between a ps2 and ps3, except the fact that ps3 is almost Rs 20,000 expensive than the ps2. is there an exceptional difference in performance and graphics?

There is a huge diff between PS2 and PS3 , go to a dealer/mall and see the graphics.ps2 graphics is age old , like in the games in the years 2003-2004 .

If you can extend your budget , you might get a great deal on xbox 360 core (say for 12-13k) or try to find an old xbox 360 . If budget is no constraint then go for a ps3

ps3 will support HD content , and you get a 80gb disc and a blu ray player.but with ps3 to enjoy the HD content you'd need a good TV too

If your motherboard has a PCI-Express slot then a 9800 will fit in without any problems. But if you have an AGP slot then you might need to change the motherboard/stick with your existing card.
Also find out about the power requirements of the new card vs the existing and if your PSU can handle the load.

Well, thats a nice option..would be quite handful..!!

But, can we specify in the on the tv screen from where to pick up the file in case of connecting a USB device..?? or Will it search everywhere in the disk..?

Btw, can the console be modded to play the DVD movies..?? Will it have any effect on the existing functionality..?

who says you can't have it for the desktops

6-7 years earlier also , people used to make 4 SMP's for their desktop with single core 32 bit processors

Well, yesterday bought a new game .. Tekken 5..!

Oh god Tekken 5...upgrade to Soul Caliber 3...awesome graphics awesome moves! Play as Astaroth. That huge dude has most damaging attacks and ubercool grapple moves!

And the mod will just enable stuff as far as I know. It disables nothing. There are some mods that let you play grey market games, movies, and Europe or America "Zone" games. As with all other products, the games that trickle down in India are bundled in compromised boxes and miss all the good stuff. The mod will let you play imported maal with everything in it.

As far as quad cores go, they now have servers and workstations which use 4 Quad cores in unison, making it a 16 core processing system effectively. There are truly no limits except cash.

Shadowboy you can get almost anything on ISOHUNT dot com. If not that, register for demonoid and be the happiest of them all! Try your search there. You can even put requests and people will generally upload your torrent.

If your Uncle bought the original game then he must have registered it with the CD-Key already on Steam. What you can do is ask him for his Steam ID and password,since now the game must be registered under his account. Once you log in his account,you can install and update and play the game here in India.
Better still you can buy the Orange Box for 750/-. It has Half Life 2,Episode One and Two,Lost Coast and Portal.
