+1. I just started and I concur. Absolutely fantastic gameplay. The first level familiarizes you with enemies and moves. Then the story begins as it cuts back 18 days earlier as to what happened to Alan Mercer, the lead character in the game.

Gameplay is smooth and though graphic details are a bit disappointing, the mayhem that Mr Mercer unleashes more than makes up for that. The freeworld environment is entertaining in every sense and you get a feeling of the bonding shared between Spiderman and New York city in the spidey games.

This is the best dose after a hard working day or if you need to vent out your anger after the counter-productive chat with your boss. Get 'em/slice'em/a-n-n-h-i-l-a-t-e/kill/kill!

This is my first post on this thread I guess.. please help me asap...

I am planning to replace my desktop with a laptop.. Selling my Desktop to my relative only.. I need some help with the laptops..

I initially was planning to go for a Dell.. second priority was Compaq.. Sony was out of my list as it's too expensive..

But my sis who used to work for Dell told me the service is not that great by Dell.. is that so..??

Now I am going for a compaq.. Is it a wise decision? Another reason to go for a compaq is it fits into my budget and am getting a good deal here from Croma outlets.

The help which I need is, am very bad with the processor thingy.. Dunno much bout it.. No doubt am going for core 2 Duo but there are also different types in it.. So kindly guide me through it..

Here are a few laptops which I can go for(they fit into my budget).. Kindly suggest which configuration is good.. My usage mostly will be for entertainment and lill bit of father's business work.

1) compaq CQ40-327
Intel Core2Duo T6400, 2.0GHz, 2MB cache, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive

2) Compaq CQ40-421
Intel Core2Duo T6400, 2.16GHz, 2MB cache, 3GB RAM, 320GB Hard drive, 14.1' screen

3) Compaq CQ61-132TU
Intel Core2Duo T3200, 2.0GHz, 1MB cache, 3GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, 15.6' screen

4) Compaq CQ40-412
Intel Core2Duo T6400, 2.0GHz, 2MB cache, 3GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, 14.1" screen

5) Compaq CQ60-209
Intel Dual Core T3400, 2.16GHz, 1MB cache, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, 16" screen

Guys please suggest me from the above mentioned list..
also if there's something better than these and if it's within the budget of 37000/- please suggest... am planning to buy it in coming 2-3 days..

Ketan, there is not much difference between 1,2,3 and 4. I would suggest you to go for a 16" laptop among the list and also upgrade the RAM to 4 GB whatver you buy. I would suggest keeping Dual Core out of the list.

Also go for a processor with a 2MB cache. so you could also keep #3 out of your list.

i have been using dell since a long time and i didnt faced any types of service issues
for any type of service you need just call them and they would guide you through telephonic conversation
and if the problem is not solved the engineer himself would come at your home,examine the laptop and would solve the issue
dell also offers accidental damage cover for some of its laptops
in case of any accident with your laptop they would repair it for free
dell is offering a brilliant service and i would say go for dell

first of all T6400 is 45nm(nano meter)technology........ it means it uses less energy so u can expect greater battery life........ little better than its predecessor........ others are 65nm tech........
second always go for higher L2 cache......... in brief it increases speed....... so again T6400 comes........
in terms of servicing u can expect almost same service from Dell also....... but the price is bit higher for Dell for the same configuration........
last but very little concern for u........ T6400 is Penryn Family of Processors(latest in P family) and T3200 & T3400 are Merom Family of Processors........

Dell Inspiron series is a good series....... if u r in games multimedia n chat n other things have a look at Dell Studio series........ Inspiron n Studio config is almost same but with higher ram n in-built cam n bluetooth n other gadgets........ but price may shoot upto 45k INR.........
if u specify ur need properly then I maybe able to suggest both from Dell & Compaq.......... both are good co. & have good range of products........

I can just say always have an open option for g-card....... u never know when u wanna play games or wanna photoshop....... check for battery upgrade........ till how many battery it may support for further expansion........ keep an option open for bluetooth......... it is a good option for connecting phones without installing software package & for transfering files........ rest doesn't matter......... in-built camera is of no such use........ if u want u can get a web-cam anytime(depends on personal use & useful while on move)........
