I am currently using a Corsair TX650W PSU. I do not know how much VRAM is being effectively used. Nope two graphics cards will not double the output. It will effectively increase it by a good 40 - 45%.

As I mentioned am running two 4850 Graphics cards n CrossFire mode.

Strangely, this is quite common nowadays. Since game developers resort to ever cheaper ways of game duplication to cut costs especially for SE Asian countries to reduce piracy, this is becoming more and more common. Contact Customer support, they shud be more than happy to replace it for u free of cost

Never worry brother, there is a hotfix containing the corrupted files due to the CRC error online check it out, else i'll give you another AC version i have next time we meet.

Wow a 650W PSU handles two GPU's? I thought your power rating would go through the roof with two of those.

EDIT: And what are you doing playing Modern Warfare, try out the rig with a GTA 4 or Mass Effect 2 which are BTW the games i'm playing right now and they are simply mindblowing

This is my config that my PSU handles:

          1. 1 320 GB SATA 7200 rpm HDD
          2. 1 160 GB IDE 7200 rpm drive
          3. 1 DVD Writer
          4. i7 920 D0 processor
          5. 2 4850's
          6. 5 120mm fans
          7. 2 80mm fans
          8. Mouse + kbd et al
          9. External HDD's, Thumb dries, ipods etc.

And I think the PSU still has enough dough to handle another graphics card, 2 HDD's atleast. We always tend to over estmate the power consumption figures Nazrene. Check this article for a lo-down on how much we actually need -> http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...m-wattage.html

BTW I do not like the GTA series. I prefer finishing games one by one. For now, I got a few of them lined up - Assassin's creed, Half life 2 Orange Box, Left4 Dead 2, Arkham asylum. Mass Effect 2 comes later. As for Mass effect 2, it uses the same old Unreal 3 engine. So its not a demanding game. Check here -> http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/vid...-effect-2.html

Aryan: Like I said, Call of Duty never looked better yaar!! 1920*1080 at 8x AA and all settings at high is just too bloody good!

          • Sheeet! that's some impressive spec sheet, and with that screen your native resolution is full 1080p so the games are running at full HD, isn't it! Would love to come and check out this bad boy in action sometime, like i said try running GTA 4 the detail would really blow you away!

first go for the warrior within, i feel the prince is more kick-ass in that one... and one thing, get used to running quickly in this one... you'll need that once the game progresses.

You could even have sent a mail straight to UBISOFT, I used to send mails to Rockstar Games whenever i had a bug on GTA 4 (And believe me it had tons of it) that didn't have a solution on their online troubleshooting site or in any of their forums, and they would actually reply with some info.

                      • Guys,
The newest games that are coming out are totally unreasonable in size.

                        Bioshock 2 is 7 gigs
                        MW2 is 11
                        Mass Effect 2 is 14
                        and AVP is 15 gigs

It can take a long time period to obtain these here.
Perhaps we should have an offline meet to discuss/review with people who already have the game?

                        Anyone from Delhi?
I hope to come for the next dhaba G2G...will see if anyone's interested there...

                        • @tanay: Yes, true, the newer brand of PC games are a space hog, but they have equally stunning graphics to match. And hence, those massive sizes! As for obtaining the above mentioned games, here, in India, these days games are readily available as soon as they are released worldwide. So, availability would not be an issue, really.

As for discussing gaming in the G2Gs, I would love to. It would be great to meet a fellow gamer in a G2G!
                          :)

I'm running three heavies on my computer
                            Mass Effect 2: 11.5Gb
                            GTA IV: 15Gb
Grid: Whopping 16.5 Gb!! and this is the oldest of the lot, but mainly these games were used for benchmarking hardware so, sort of justifies their size in terms of performance.

the new ones are officially sold either blu ray or double layer DVDs.
the major space is taken by the cinematics and the sound.
our black market cant afford the double layer ones since its costly.(the difference in cost i dont know.)and then multiplying them another thing.

                              • Alot of new games coming out, next up Battlefield BC 2 , the multiplayer demo is really good, grand i would say as compared to MW2 but yeah as the games advance and graphics improves the size of the game will also. Battlefield BC 2 game demo was 1.2GB , but for consoles this is not an issue, I have an xbox with 12GB memory + 500GB external HDD (media centre).
So i would say buy a console - better option than upgrading ur pc regularly .
BTW anybody plays MW2 on xbl ??
gamertag:diabolic_god666 . would love to play with desi friends :P
Aprilia RS 125 or Honda CB400 Vtec ..... which one will it be ??? I think its gonna be NINJA ZX 6R :-)
