It is doing well without any problems till now,Originally posted by bindyesh View Post
i think 8600 gt can not provide sufficient fps to play crysis2 smoothly
I am playing at 1024x768 on my 17 inch Viewsonic monitor.
The game does warns about crashes while starting up, but never crashes even when I am indulged in high level of activity inside the game.
Here are two pictures, would update more as I progress.
I have completed Road Rage stage on FDR freeway and now heading towards Gould's lab.

I completed Crysis 1 and Crysis Warheads on the same hardware years ago.
This series never set a much hue n cry about hardware but delivers one of the best games in the industry.

^^^^ dude, Ive got more or less the same rig....quad core q6600, 2gb ram and 8600gt. Crysis 2 struggles at max settings. Im playing on very high graphics and 800x600 and game plays OK.....changing the res to 1024x768 makes it stutter and lag. Youre probably playing it on lowest graphics setting if you have no problems.
@bindyesh: Cryengine 3 isnt the one to praise here....this being a console port, many console development features and related lazyness have been carried over to the PC version like lower poly models, repeating character models, not as many effects as you would expect from a sequel to crysis, low res textures in many places, no dx 11 support and a lot of entailing graphics features and so on. That means lesser load on systems in some respects.....
All in all, id say they have just made crysis in a different setting and put in a few features that should have actually been in the original. In terms of graphics the original looks better to me than this one(maybe Im just a fan of teh old one). But I have to say the levels are beautifully made. Still, not much justification in being a sequel apart from multiplayer. Multiplayer is where the fun is in this game.Last edited by 2strokerama; 04-11-2011, 05:22 PM.

Need serious help here guys.
I downloaded the Call of Duty Black Ops via Torrent (7.8 Gb file).
Installation etc. was perfect.
The game loads, the movie plays (where the interrogator is talking about the bay of pigs etc.) and just when the game has to start it goes boing, directX encountered a fatal error.
I updated the DirectX from scores of online sites (to DirectX 10 too) and also from an original CoD dvd.
Still doesn't work. Could anyone please help? I've given up trying to fix this myself and the guy who posted the torrent seems to have no clue either.
