are you referring to FE?.. or maintenance of the bike itself..

Right now I don't have a choice... my dad says it should be yamaha or Honda..

    So FZ or R15 ...

I should find someone to ride an R15... 'coz the dealer says there's no testdrive opt for it..
in many aspects the r15 can burn a hole in your pocket. The FE is low because it is a bit sports bike than a commuter. The maintenance is high in the sense that even a small fall of the bike also can cost you nearly 1000 rs minimum. This problem is on every bike but the fairing of the r15 makes it more. But the r15 is the most technologically advanced bike in india but i wouldnt suggest it for a newbie. Still the r15 would be the best selection.

BTW did you tried out the dazzler????

Nope pal.. Dazzler is out of question, No offence though...
I admire Honda's reliability but the looks of Dazzler are bad (personal opinion)..

          just to add to this...
I feel that FZ delivers the best around 5-6k RPM...so @60-65 you should be in 4th Gear..now try overtaking that bus!

            Solved guys..

I'm going in for The Yamaha FZ-S black-green version..

            Here is my evaluation..

            FZ

            + points
            • Big name company
            • Exceptional handling & reliability
            • Looks
            • Relatively less maintenance hassles
            • Built for city/traffic commuting
            • Chic magnet (gals luv it)

            -ve points
            • Not powerful
            • Poor mileage/FE
            • Attracts too much attention (:P)

            Apache 180 RTR

            +ve points
            • Very powerful
            • Smokes out every bike both on track and off track
            • Handling is great
            • light and nimble, pierces through traffic like a bullet
            • Rather good FE
            • Rear disk
            • Golden forks ()
            • Better build quality than pulsars
            • Bang for buck pricing

            -ve points
            • Indian Company(personal view)
            • Complaints of vibes at top speeds(Haven't experienced any @ 80kmph during Test drive)
            • More discrete and mingles among a horde of bikes.. Doesn't have unique look(personal again)

I'm not going with apache just because my dad won't let me buy an indian make.
Otherwise, the Menace would've been my choice.

            Why not P220?
'Coz there are too many pulsars around and I don't like build quality of 220.

            Why not ZMR?
            I don't like its looks

            Why not R15?
This was tough, the bike was excellent but me being a college goer can't afford its maintenance charges and all.

            Why not ZMA?
It is OLD!! besides that, I don't like it personally.

Thanks for all your help guys. thunderbird_m6 and ranjith especially.

                  Bang Bang Bang Guys....

Got my bike delivered on 12th this month...

My dad gave me a big surpise... He got me an yellow R15...

I was there standing outside venkatesha motors, erragadda in Hyderabad waiting for my black green FZ-S to show up.... but a gleaming yellow beast came up... It was the best moment of my life...

This bike is AWSOME .. its like cruising on smooth waters in a boat not just riding a bike...
                  I'll post pics soon...
