  • Pls help me out guys!!! Help me chose between RTR 180, ZMA-R, and FAZER

    • RTR 180
    • ZMA-R
    • FAZER

Yes, I know these three bikes come under different categories; test driving the bikes will give a good experience and better understanding; there are already hell lots of threads for comparing these three bikes. But yet, I have created this thread. Reason is very simple; all the thread starters may not have the same expectations from the ride, as I do have. The purpose of a ride differs from rider to rider and so do the understandings. And Test drives are already done on the possible bikes (which are available for TD).

These are MY VIEWS and concerns on the bikes...

Each bike is unique in its own way. But yet am confused between the three I would be happy if I get 40 as FE (litttttttttttttle less would be fine too).

Please suggest me the best of the three bikes, which is good in cornering abilities, handling, brakes (heard RTR is best) and especially it should be good in lower end, mid range rpms.

If you guys feel some other bike which will suit my needs, please suggest that.

    Expecting ur detailed responses

Dude read the zmr ownership thread it has got the proven pgm-fi gives a nice power delivery and fe is far much better than zma-r but i do accept with the fact the price difference between zma-r and zmr is a bit debatable but in my views zmr will fit given your physique

Yes Raja, ZMR is a good bike with good FE... But the thing is, I'm not interested to spend 1L for the same performance that I can get in 80+k (ZMA-R).. It has good features.. Yet, I can manage upto 1L for my new bike... If more than that, I'm not ready

If your sole purpose is for short trips in the city here and there, I guess RTR 180 will do very good... Because the feel is very good.. I m 5'9 and I ride an RTR 180 comfortably.. Its very enjoyable, with respect to the 'feel'. BTW, Have you Test ridden the FZ??? Do check it out.. as the smoothness of that bike will make you forget everything else like low top speed etc...

I guess the contenders for you will be FZ and the rtr 180...

            @ Karkai6

I personally don't like fz's look dude.. I prefer Fazer to fz... But the problems I feel with fazer are, the pillion comfort, as the pillion seat is tooo small... And the other thing is the power/punch....

            Is it comfortable for ladies?

all are good bikes but since you are 6 feet tall...ZMA will suit you best

ZMA should work for you well if you are looking for a comfortable and a refined machine.

Go for the RTR 180, only if you have the 'itch' to speed.

Ironically the RTR is the quicker bike as compared to the other two and also returns best fuel efficiency(Fazer is almost on-par).

Depends...single side seating on FZ/Fazer is not comfortable for the pillion.

I own a ZMA-R myself, i am 5'10", I wanted to have a big bike feel thats the reason i did not consider RTR as an option.

If you feel the riding posture is comfortable, then go for the RTR man, else go for a ZMA-R, Fazer is all looks and less performance when compared to the other 2 bikes you have short listed.

Yes, ZMA and RTR180 are undoubtedly the best, in their own categories... There are some constraints on each bike, which make me confused to select one... In the case of ZMA, I love it as a tourer... But the looks are "Obsolete".. That is the only constraint I have with ZMA along with its low FE... Do you guys feel its look is good??

p180.. hell of a bike.. consider it if u have ur doubts on the rtr180.. take a test drive and come to a conclusion... i don't think u should bother abt the fazer and the zma-r now... fazer- not at all worth it's money, low performance,no fe - thinks it's a 250+cc bike... zma-r - very good bike but spares are very costly, very old now,not ground breaking in any way...

go for the rtr180 if ur mom is also going to sit with u at times, fazer is not comfortable for elderly ladies sitting one sided, same with the fz too, dont know about the ZMR,it could be a choice among the two ZMR or RTR.

Dude, it's not that all the time my mom would be coming with me... Why I mentioned that is, because, Fazer's seat is not comfortable for pillions ever for few mins/hours of journey... that's y?
And about ZMR, I have already mentioned my problem with that...
