For Dilip's timings pick up ACI's Sep '10 issue and for Joel's, well, contact him

1000RR and GSX-R were full stock Motorcycles with even their RVM's staying put, on street tires.(my guess, as nothing was mentioned about tires though)
Man!! Are you sure about this? I mean a 150cc beating a 1000cc. I know about joel's 15 and his lap timings. But saying that its faster than CBR1000 or any other litre class bike. This can't be true in any way. Its impossible even if you give r15 some hovering capabiity. 1000 is a 1000 man. a 15 cant beat that.

And about dilip roger's timings. I am dead sure he was just roaming arround.

A top class performance in Group B Experts class and a pole position in Group A Super Stock 600 was the highlight of our race weekend at Round 3 of the Sidvin INMRC – Round 3 held at Sriperambadur MMRT race track where Sarath Kumar 69 burnt the track with breaking into the under 2 minutes barrier (1.59.299). This is the official fastest record ever clocked on an Indian motorcycle at MMRT. On a modified R15 built by Race Engineer Joel Joseph, Sarath was the fastest through the race weekend. Starting from pole position, Sarath went on the win both Race 1 and Race 2 comfortably. These two wins have given him a lead in the national championship.

The Super Stock 600 CC also saw our rider Vikram V 28 taking pole with his season best of 1.48.500. He went on to finish both the races in sixth place and admits it is tough competition.

see dude, the ones who loves the the rough n raw nature of the bike will give u positive comments about the vibes and the smooth n silky ride lovers will tell u that they r the worst.

SO BETTER TEST RIDE IT AND CHECK IT OUT IN TWO PHASES, viz, 40-60kmph and the second one is 70+ kmph... because all the vibes exist between 40-60kmph range n after that it is silky smooth even at 120kmph unlike other bikes.

and as far as my personal thought is concerned, i get the positive thing out of the vibes that it gives me the "feel" of raw, rough n revvy nature of my babe (bike, i mean ). and as this is my first bike ever, so i adapted them very soon. now, i don't even notice that my bike is vibrating as this is just okay with me. thats y i hate riding CBZ Xtreme n all because when i ride them, they don't give me the hint of power at all

(no offences to CBZ Xtreme owners or anyone)

Guys, I think my heart wants me to get RTR180 atlast...! Could any one clarify on the following things, please...

                1. Stability on top speeds?
                2. Will it be good in cornering (Atleast at 60 kmph)
                3. Rider and Pillion comfort during long-run/tour
                4. Are the "Lights" powerful enough to ride in night time (my star city's headlamps are the worst )

Hopefully, I ll be happy with the other things like FE (which I heard is 40+), handling, braking, etc.,

STABILITY @ HIGH SPEEDS: nice. i have done 125kmph max. (in 2 rides... 3-4 times in the first ride and 1-2 times in the second) and 115-120 many times. the bike is very stable and it won't make u feel any sort of bubbling or that the bike is getting very lighter... and most importantly, it is butter smooth at those speeds... i mean it doesn't vibrates at high speeds like any other bike of same category.

CORNERING: as far as it is concerned with the contribution of chasis design, rake angle, wheelbase, handlebars n all, its just next to R15 in terms of cornering. and talking about the tyres, they are not so good in gripping the tarmac as u would have already known. but don't worry, it will not let u down in daily-rides cornering.

i want some other person to comment or the rest of the two aspects as i didn't go to any long tour @ night. so, to ensure that u get a quality advice, i m leaving these aspects to be clarified by the gyan-gurus

                    Good.
Have you ridden any other Motorcycle over 100kmph for a sighnifican time so that you can compare with it?

                    2. Will it be good in cornering (Atleast at 60 kmph)
If the corner is a 90kmph one, it will take it in its stride. But don't expect it to corner a 60kmph corner at 90kmph though.

                    3. Rider and Pillion comfort during long-run/tour
Rider=I am happy and its stance is egging me to ride hard and thus enabling to remain focussed, I like it, though the clip-ons can do with some adjustment, but then not everyone's body stature is same.
                    Pillion=haven't ever bothered.
                    4. Lights are powerful enough to ride in night time (my star city's headlamps are the worst )
The lamps are as good as it can with an AC sporting a 12V 35/35W

Hopefully, I ll be happy with the other things like FE (which I heard is 40+), handling, braking, etc.,
FE is inversely proportional to your right wrist, I have seen 25kmpl, but then the tach didn't bother seeing nos. below 6K
Handling/Braking--Good, very good. Almost up there.

I have'nt ridden RTR 180 much so i cant comment abt the mileage and stability part!

Headlights, yes it is good. have done 56k kms on RTR 160 and it has one of the best light in 150cc catagry. And rider comfort takes some time to get used to since you are shifting from star city. Pillion comfort not the best if you ask me. Pillion foot peg develop vibes very soon. they need tweaking every now and then!

If you talk abt handleing.....it aint upto r15's mark , but yes it will cornor at whatever speeds you take it, be it 10kmph or 120kmph provided the curve is good enough for the speed you want to carry!

Karizma has got the best suspension followed by Fazer and Apache 180 coming to last...

What is your basis of this assumption?

Honestly, I think the ZMA-R is the best bet.
The Fazer is a joke of a tourer. Great looks, but nothing like the Karizma in the heart (engine)

The RTR is not comfortable for long rides. The Karizma is a dream when it comes to comfort.

I have ZMA and have ridden friend's apache and fazer on bad roads at high speeds...The zma was eating all Potholes seamlessly with fazer also performing good but apache was bouncing at rear...
