edit: but than there are not changes of price decrease of ZMR?
In the first post you've said you want a bike with decent touring capabilities and now it seems all you want is a big engine, there are no guarantees that a higher powered vehicle will be a perfect touring machine. Also, you said you want fuel efficiency since you live in a crowded area, A 250 cc bike will not give more than 30kpl in heavy traffic conditions. First make up your mind what is it that you really want. Next, if you are not happy with what is on offer in the Indian market then I suggest you wait it out.. Mojo from Mahindra might be available for about two lakh rupees on road price. you might also get a second hand Ninja for the same price, like I said wait awhile you may find something you like.
presently the best Indian tourer: pulsar 220 dtsi

I just need touring bike. And there are lots 350cc and 500cc running around!! So i dont think any problem for 250cc. It may be not comfirtable as zmr but yes i can ride them. If i can get 250cc in 1.5lac I dont mind it in purchase
I do want to purchase zmr and thats final.
Sorry if there is any mistake in post. I am writing from mobile

if you wanna buy ZMR then i would suggest you to wait for its delivery instead of going for any other bike..even i did the same & now m very happy about the fact that i didn't go for any other bike..
@ts - ZMR is really a comfortable bike, i just traveled 150 odd kilometers (from karnal to Delhi), directly reached my office n started working without taking any rest
..you can ride it for much longer stretches without any problem

TVS RTR 180 by stats for Apache its 0.82 second from 80-0kp/h
My personal figure would be something between 3-4 seconds's from 100+kp/h ... in panic braking situation .....

From some magazine's testing of ABS
Even 60-0 (kph) stopping distance with ABS was considerably shorter than without ABS. I somehow wanted to beat the ABS. In order to do that I braked crazily even at top whack but it simply refused to lose the traction. Then I took it to the wet roads, and there too the braking response was fabulous. Braking on completely wet roads was as simple as braking on dry surface. The bike came to a complete halt just as it would stop on a dry patch of tar. I failed again.Last edited by shahbaz63; 01-07-2013, 10:47 AM.
