i am not sure whether you have already purchased your bike.

If you are just looking into commuting and little bit of twisting your throttle in between signals then, Yamaha FZ 16 is an awesome option. Its a good looker to with that fat rear tyre and is amazing to ride on the corners... i personally have one and i am absolutely loving it!! However, as everybody else had posted, the mileage is definitely a downer!! i am getting around 40 - 43 kmpl.. in terms of power the bike has tons of torque hence, you don't have to keep on shifting gears when in traffic... in terms of speed is good till 85kmph but post that it loses its breath and the engine goes to the harsher side.

If you are not much bothered about looks then Honda Unicorn too is a good bike to consider, a very refined mill and lighter on the pocket thanks to good fuel economy.

I haven't tried apache so can't comment on that... take your pick dude!

What bike do I go for???

I am a 19 year old college go-er. Will be studying for the next four years at least.
I want to buy a 150cc bike mainly for commuting.
As you can imagine from my age, the bike should be fun to ride, zippy and nimble! Oh, and not to mention the looks!

Also, I'll be doing some tours from Chandigarh to Shimla, Delhi, Agra, and some day, Ladakh as well!!!
So this bike needs to have a decent touring ability and good performance at high speeds for a long period of time.
My vote goes for Dazzler from the above choices... as you are a college student you must need a bike with good/descent mileage... Dazzler is a bike with good commuting ability, looks, good power and the veteran engine from Honda...
All other bikes are good enough, but i think Dazzler has a very good essence of all...

            As per your choices:

Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler - Will be good. Great for city, good for touring.

Suzuki GS 150R - Is a good bike, but certainly will be heavy in city. However, it is the most comfy bike for touring, for you as well as pillion. (If you are planning/hoping to have a GF, she will be happiest on the pillion seat of GS!)

TVS Apache RTR 160 - If you are in racing. People here have toured a lot in RTR, but I believe it is best suited for spirited city riding.

Yamaha FZ 16 - Sorry to Yam fans, but I think it is overpriced and not too much utilitarian. You get less mileage, not so much of uniqueness because there are so many around, the riding position is too wannabe. All in all, most appealing for college goer (you may like it! But remember the lesser mileage at higher cost)

            Others: Hunk - Plastic muscles!

Unicorn: A proven workhorse, but bit boring

Rest honda/HH 150CC bikes - CBZ Xtreme et all, no idea

Pulsars - TOO MANY! 80% of your college parking will be filled by those!

All the best for the selection. Between HH, Honda and Suzuki, you can't go wrong with any bike. It will drill down to your requirements and likings.

well if u can live with ok looks of dazzler then i cannot suggest anything more......

because it is comfortable with rear disc and all and good commuter cum riding

Touring plus normal use test drive and decide between GS150R or Dazzler or CB unicorn

If your preference is looks ahead of rest just go and book your FZ today.

Wanna mingle in the crowd and don't want to be head turner then go and book P150
