    A180 is fun in city.. light flickable etc.. but heard, not good on highways due to vibration above 90.. less weight also mean less stable on highway..
    P180 is pulsar.. means higher maintenance.. but finding a good service center should be easier in bang.

    can go for P220 without fairing.. cheaper than fairing version by 3-4K..
    but I would suggest if you are looking at long term thing.. 8-10K can be invested for better thing..

    short & crisp explanation.done a short test ride of rtr 180 yesterday not possible to go beyond 50 km/hr in that empty short streets, but rtr is agile & fun.yet to test ride pulsar 180.yes rtr180 is not refined like gs150r(rode my friend's bike 1 year before) but its revving nature is addictive.
    as you are apache 180 owner you an help me out clarifying the following

    1.in 5th gear at which rpm,rtr 180 reaches 100km/hr?

    2.is it vibes more in that rpm?is it stable at that speed?

    @nitin

    i planned for 150 cc and now become ready to spend 8k more for a 180,not more than this buddy.i think servicing a p220 is limited to probiking showrooms only, not any other bajaj showroom,am i right?

      Do not have a confused mind. Do test ride and feel the difference between the two P180 and A180.
      you are right, short test ride of A180 done.waiting for Monday to test ride p180,still suggestion from experienced tourers and respective owners would help a lot.

        RTR 180 anytime. fun to ride, fast, good handling, lite, revving and most of all more reliable than P180. for 79k u can get P220S.

          Thats one of the reasons I didnt go for P220S, I test drove both A180 and P180 and bought P180 4 months back for the following reasons..
          1. Style
          2. Value for Money

          But A180 is a mean machine, when I test drove it, I felt a 4stroke RX in it lol..seriously man it has a gr8 pickup. But thats not the only criteria for me.
          As everyone says, do a test drive and decide.

            I guess if you're in a city like Bangalore and not a place like Delhi, an A180 makes more sense.

            I went for the P180 mostly for the styling and the long distance ride-ability. The fat tyre is a real boon in a city where you can stretch your legs. The bike loves to follow a straight line and cruising at 55-60 is as effortless and fun as it is to ride at 95 on the highways. But yeah, when you need to flip the bike around and cut through traffic, the A180 is a much better deal.

              NO.It doesn't vibrates at 100km/hr.Yes it is stable at that speed.

                A180 plus - accleration is addictive; petal disc on both wheels life saver's
                minus - you will feel vibes at high speeds ; slippy TVS tyres
                P 180 plus - meaty looks ;better mileage compared to A180 ;
                minus - acceleration and braking not upto A180

                note : IMO get an A180 change the tyres according to your use and enjoy the thrills it give ;

                  thanks for the info.IMO,many people who didn't own or rode apache 180 are telling at 100 km/hr vibes are more, blah, blah!!

                  you cleared my doubts.

                  as u told anytime we change tyres upto our requirement & enjoy the bike.my personal opinion is only the quality of tyre should not change the choice of your bike, till there is an alternate tyre.

                        today pulsar 180 test ride done.
                        refinement-good

                        acceleration - good, but apache was thriller even in short distance test

                        suspension & ergonomics - pulsar scores more than apache

                        flick ability& handling -apache is good

                        turning radius-i felt it is more in apache

                        seat height -for me,comfortable in both bikes.

                        cost - almost similar in bangalore

                        electricals -pulsar (dc) is better than apache(ac)

                        rear tyre width -attractive in pulsar, looks suitable for its size in apache

                        kick start - only in apache, not in pulsar(worried about cold starts)

                        i'm a lot confused now.only long test rides will give idea about touring capability & stability.nobody is giving long test rides.

                          I've never had a chance to ride a A180 but i've seen my friend's A180 zoom past me in circle to circle dashes....
                          also i've seen him hop onto my p180's pillion seat whenever we travel to 200 kms tours....
                          Just my experience but i guess it speaks for itself....

                            Pulsar 180:-
                            Power:17.3 bhp
                            Torque:14.22 N.m
                            wheel base:1345 mm
                            weight:147 kg
                            Top speed:122 km/h

                            Apache 180:-
                            Power:17.3 bhp
                            Torque:15.5 N.m
                            wheel base:1326 mm
                            weight:137 kg
                            Top speed:125 km/h
                            and now a180 comes with ABS.

                            P180 is a good bike but is too common these days, you should go for A180.

                              I would suggest you to wait for the new A180 ABS, it also comes with DC electricals [great for HID mod].

                                Agree with him, A180 ABS is really good vehicle, seen promotional videos, the bike will soon mark its presence in the market.
