The P220 and P180 can only be serviced at Bajaj Probiking. A180s can be serviced in all TVS service centres. One of my friend's friend has to travel 15 KMs to get his P180 done. So if you at all want to go for Pulsar, go for the P220.

    Have you considered the AVENGER?

Yamaha Fazer might seem a good option.
Broad rear tyre => good braking efficiency + excellent balance.
This factor alone is making me think if I need to replace my one-year old bike.

And how about the new CBZ? It looks similar to the Karishma R. And it comes with Dual discs. The styling is going downhill though. I wonder why HH can't retain the original frame and design.

I think you should skip the CCs argument and consider which one makes you happy within your Purchase price and operational costs.

since you're ready to wait, get the dazzler. It'd be your best option. If you want power, get the p180 but bajaj having announced that pulsars would be redesigned, wait for it.

if you can't wait, get the Hunk or all new CBZ Xtreme

P220 and Karizma have the same mileage as FZ/Fazer under those riding habits.

and aboutthe RTR180. Well, 60-65km a day on a vibrator would give you an orgasm Its your call

Only P220, P200 and Avengers get serviced at probiking. They wont even allow P180 inside Probiking. P180's are serviced at other Bajaj Service Centers.

About the Fazer.. An under powered 150cc with a mileage of 220cc's. Theres no better way of wasting over 85K. FZ is a lot better choice.

CBZ is good but there are better bikes in the same segment.

And one more thing.. we call it Karizma not Karishma

Considering that there is not a very huge difference in the mileage of P180 or the Dazzler, I guess waiting for the new Pulsars is a wise decision. Mileage is the prime criterion used to eliminate the FZ, FZ-S and the Fazer.
I guess the RTR180 can be eliminated now, cos I've got other ways of getting an orgasm
Finally two options left.... P180 and Dazzler.

8900 kms owning a Pulsar 180 and the worst mileage it has given me is 42 (loads of top speed runs). My average mileage figures (under relaxed usage) is 45-46.

@TS: Looking at your posts, I gather the idea that you need the best balance between a bike being practical and yet gives a leg up from your D125 days.

From my ownership of a P180, I can tell you that the most common stereotype associated with the Pulsars of being substandard does not hold ground any more. The engine is relaxed even at high speeds, mileage is consistent and the stance/grip makes riding comfortable (atleast for me) and inspires a lot of confidence. However, the bike is heavy and is more of a boon on an open road than in a cramped city. The turning radius is an annoyance. So, if you live in a small city or commute through a lot of traffic, P180 can be striked out. But test ride the choices before you make a decision. For all you know, you might just love the machine's stance and weight like I do.

Also, I recommend going through the ownership threads of the respective bikes. DO NOT take every experience as a rule, but it'll help you in getting an idea of the machines' characters. BTW, does the FZ really offer that less kms to the litre? Cause it's a damn good bike what with its comfort, torque and refinement.

I've had the opportunity to use the P220SF for a while and though the turning radius was a bit of a bother initially, got used to it after a few rides. I travel around 30 Kms a day one-way from one end of Hyderabad to another. After reading every post out here, I have become more inclined towards the P180. For all I know, my 5 yr old (almost) D125 has never complained irrespective of all the abuse I've given it. My BIL has got a D125 (2007) and he's got no major issues till date. A Friend of mine has the P150 (2006) with Spoke wheels. The early DTSi model. He had to move to Chattisgarh for around 9-10 months. He used the bike for 3 months and then left it in the parking. All I did was fill the tank with a litre of Petrol and it started on the second kick. Only issue was a leaking rear tube. It was then shipped from Hyd. to Vizag and the only thing after moving to Vizag was getting a new rear tube and we travelled for around 1.2k Kms for the next few days in and around Vizag and the only thing done was filling up fuel, we didn't even bother changing the Engine Oil. The bike's still running fine.
So, from my experience (A couple of more I can quote) Bajaj engines are not as bad as they are made out to be and I wouldn't mind replacing my D125 with any other Pulsar. But I would surely like the 4valve Pulsars. Hope Bajaj gets it out soon. It's been too long since they've updated their models...
