I hv test driven Hunk & GS150 & Dazzler once again...& My thumbs up to GS150 without any doubts

Initially I thought it wud be heavy to handle ...but when I took a 5km ride
( thanks to Mr. Pandu of Apple Auto Bangalore) I was sure that this is the right bike for me. Its a very well designed City or cruiser bike.

Now I m going to book this bike next week.

Pls share your thoughts...will there be a problem when I drive in busy bangalore traffic, because of its weight ?

    thanks
    congrats..
When you are on ride you dont feel the weight of the bike, in stand still only u came to know the weight. As you are get used to it by with in 10 days of ride.
For mileage and comfort wise it is best in above 3.

I feel Dazzler is like toy bike when ride feel compared to GS. You never get a big bike feel in 150cc segment except in GS150R.

There are so many blore GSpians in Ownership thread of GS150R. Ask them for any help.

Well Hearty congratulations Uppad on choosing this wonderful Bike( Like i did just couple of months earlier in Same Apple Auto, Bangalore)..
So another GSpian in the making.

GS is one of the most refined and an excellent Commu-tourer bike available today and I can guarantee that you will not be questioning your decision on getting this Bike

Well I don't know about the 2k offer but here is the offer that I availed:

Although I purchased Candy Orange, I had considered Black as my second option. Blue/Grey were not there in the display and I was not looking for them either but Looks is purely a matter of personal choice.
Orange is one of its kind and a sure head turner

Any more info you can find in the GS ownership thread..
            Happy Biking

              @Ashok: Thanks very much...

I hv finalized Black color as its the ever green color...& my personal liking too. Candy orange is also a popular color.Thank god I was able to see all the colors yesterday as around 14 new GS bike arrived to the showroom and ter's demand for all the colors ! It was bit difficult deciding which color

I got the bike for 73k with same additions which you got. 2k offer is quite old which is not given at present

I agree to your point that GS is the most refined 150cc bike and Unicorn is only second to it. I am very happy about my decision and thanks to XBHPians specially for helping me on this.
I have seen a good service from Suzuki ppl at Bangalore and its a positive sign as Honda is cheating people with long waiting period and HH is loosing its name ! , bajaj's quality is questionable (This is my personal experience from last couple of months of R&D. I hv no -ves for Yamaha, as I am the fan of RX )

              So... hoping for the best

Hi friends...got my new GS150R black color yesterday

Its really a pleasure driving GS..My fear of its weight issue in traffic is no more...there is no problem at all ...i could easily drive in B'lore traffic..i can say, I can handle it better than my RX !!! Power distribution in every gear is amazing...stressless ride definitely

                  I'll upload pics soon ...

                  Thanks all

So don't just boast about your bike, ride the other ones before going gaga over your shine. It goes to 100 easily, really? you must be having some kind of hallucination.. just go get yourself checked. Before arguing anything more on this, just go and check top speeds reported by various people on Shine. Yes, Shine is a good bike within city where you are not going to do 60+ speeds regularly.. but even Twister/Passion can do the same in city. So what's the USP of Shine and that too after paying a hefty 60k.. all you get is a 55kmpl on a sedate run. For god's sake ride a P135 to know what kind of performance you can expect from a 60k machine.. simply beats the pants of competition without any effort, all this while giving you the same mileage of 55kmpl. So what's the point in going for a Shine?? Just do a 90kmph+ run on p135 and then repeat it on Shine, you will know the difference.. while P135 is still feels like a lot of juice is left.. Shine feels like going out of breath as soon as you hit 80kmph... from there it takes long time to reach 90kmph.. 100?? certainly out of question on Shine.. no two ways about it.

My point is Shine is a good bike, but pales in comparison to the options available at 60k.. heck, D150 is retailing at 55k.. why don't you just compare that to D150 and come back with some points for Shine?? I understand that you own a Shine and love it, but that doesn't make it the best bike in 60k.. nobody said it's a bad bike.. I just said that I wouldn't recommend it to anybody willing to pay 60k, it's just selling on Honda brand name (for the price it's asking).

First point read.. i dint say its the best bike.. i advised for the Gladiator.
I know the good and bad of my bike very well.. and i have typed them out very well in my last post. As i said, read . read properly. Going gaga.. man wow to u for even using that word.

Second point remember what u said. u did not say its bad??? Did they change the meaning of pathetic.

All i said is stop trashing the bike. u rode 1000k and u were not able to take it upto 90? My friend test drove the bike for about 900m and he was able to take it to 95. Yes its top speed is just abt 95 - 100.. so???? I dont get roads to do 100 + daily.

And about comparing it to passion. just compare the torque figures. Or should i look it up for you

Anyways.. nice attitude. keep it up.

You should first read others points properly before quoting them.. Can you show me the word pathetic in my posts?? where did I compare passion with Shine? you must be hallucinating!! Yeah, Shine manages to touch 95 kmph!!(which I don't believe anyway) but, how do you feel at those speeds on Shine? If you haven't done it on other bikes like SS125/P135LS, then may be it's time you do that and then talk about Shine. These bikes are much better in handling/breaking/cornering/road grip when compared to Shine. I never said it's trash/pathetic.. so relax, all I said was "I wouldn't recommend Shine to anyone over SS125/P135LS at that price" and I still stand by that.

Don't tell me that I won't go that fast, hence I don't need those bikes. Everyone would like more goodies for the same price. Probably, it was right for you when you bought it some years ago due to lack of options, but right now that's not the case.

And finally, don't make this personal by commenting on attitudes etc.. if you have a valid point, you are free to post on this forum. If you want to take this debate further, you can PM me and leave this topic as decisions are already made by thread starter.
