+1 to what you say bro. i have a real good liking for apaches as they dont get screwed as the pulsars do after a particular time. Wish they could have built it for taller riders.Originally posted by revvhard View Postapache is a great bike dont listen to what ppl have to say......its quite a reliable bike......and can take a lot of thrashing without any problems......

the rtr 18o is actually pretty comfortable for taller riders.....i'm 5"10 and i havnt found the rtr 160 or the 180 uncomfortable............
my friend has a 180 and that bike can take some serious thrashing!!!!Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! yeah thats what i said no need of re-registration and if u have bro in lavale then no need of NOC if you transfer bike in his name.Originally posted by 130kmph@17bhp View PostHad to stop the shine idea, it was the ,model without disc brake!!! And moreover i was thinking it had the same specs as that of the stunner!(which i like)
after researching i found that shine has 4 geared system
so dropped that!
Now looking at sulekha again!
And btw
to transfer a bike from pune RTO to pimpri, we need to get an NOC and form 29, no need to re-register!
And i can register bike in my bro's name, he lives at lavale, which is pune rto (thanks shrinathrao
guys how is apache, in the reliability scale? Havent heard much good things abt it :S
As for apache go for it its really fun bike to drive in city as well as highway
Post your ad in all possible sites that you find its free anyways
If everything's under control, you're going too slow..

Thanks for the replies everyone!, i was confused abt the Apache ! i always loved how its looks, Killer!!
I am definitely looking for it then
@revvhard man there might be good ones at nanapeth, i dont deny that but there are more number of ones to rip us
if we buy it from the owner directly, it will always be easier to deal and more bargaining
@aniket YGPM
@ lolz man, i am doing it everywher but sadly, no one contacted as of now
@shrinathrao everyone who heard that i am interested in apache behaves like" look at the stupid, he wants to buy an apache

i agree that finding a good bike in nanapeth is really difficult........... but that is more for the pulsars..... they are messed with a lot more than others............. and apache as u said not being a crowd favorite you might just find a genuine one..........you just gotta go through each and every shop........and check all your prospects.......................Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! Grrrr, I went to nanapeth yesterday, and went to atleast 10 shops! and if there was a single good condition bike, i will eat my words!
the price they gave for the bikes are as follows
2008 apache -49000
2007 karizma -55000
2008 pulsar 150-48000
2010 pulsar 135 -55000
2008 unicorn -50000 :O
and not single person says they are ready for negotiation :O

look for bikes before 2007
if you are keen on pulsars then the old version would come into your price bracket because its value has gone down due to the upgrade
same with the apache the value of 150 has gone down because of the 160 and 180
forget about unicorn for some reason they charge extremely high prices for them........
and go into all shops and look around..go into the shops inside the lanes tooo.....they generally wont show u an apache150 or the old version pulsar as they dont fetch them good commission......Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! Hey, sorry for long delay!
Have been a bit busy !
So, this week i found two good deals i believe!, a Pulsar 180(Oct,2008) run 16k and the owner says 40k, negotiable! if it comes down, well and good
only issue, Red colour!
and the second one, an Apache RTR 160 2008 july model run 15k owner says 36k, not negotiable
and its speedo has some loose contact issue, the wire from the speedo has to be changed said the owner! will update which cable here soon! Black colour!
and also the apache has a loan on it, which has 2 instalments remaining.
So what are your opinions!!
What kinda mileage can i expect on both the bikes? and any known issues for 3 year old bikes which i should lookout for?

check how much the emi's are and try pursuing the owner to either decrease the price or pay the emi's.... try pressuring him by offering full cash payment on the spot and incase the bike has even the smallest of scratches or problems try showing those to him......Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! mileage from both the bikes will be around 40-45........
problems i dont think there should be any but whichever bike u buy first give it for a full servicing get the valve springs and stuff changed..have them check the clutch plates if they need a change...... and also get the engine decarbonisedLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! Thanks for the reply revvhard!
Had a testdrive of the apache today morning!
The bike is in good condition! Was riding a zma while goin to the place, so th difference is smoothness of the engine was very evident!
It has a small problem, the speedo does not work, it got stopped at 6.8k, but lookiing at the bike and the tyres, its done abt 20-22k !
The issue, is i will have to change the speedo cable as that is the problem,
any ideas of its price??
and there are normal wear and tear scratches!
another thing is that the RTR sticker on the handlebar, is gone
it looks good with the sticker!
, But the bike is very good condition !
and btw, the pulsar got sold for 40k before i can get a TD

the speedo cable should cost somewhere between rs.200-rs.300
the sticker you can get from tvs must be somewhere around rs.100
how much is the going price and you said it had 2 emis left to be paid....how much are the emis??Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow!
