for around 40K you would get a decent around 2004 model east that’s a electra they have a better resale value... you may be able to crack a 206 std 350 for the same amount... just see what you have to get contact the local market, check with friends who are in to bullets. Contact local bulleteres... contact UNDERGROUNDRIDER i am sure as he mentioned he got one last month that may be a help to you . and as he has already realized that it is a white elephant so even you should know Honda shine and the bullet do not share anything in character...

            ROTF LMAO !!!

Its no wonder I see so many AVLs/ UCE on the streets and why Cast Irons are being phased out completely.

well mine is 1974 model and i got it for 25k .. luckily the guy who wanted to sell it off was in need of money..when i checked out the market value of a 1974 model it was a whooping 45k.. according to me i would preffer going for a old model ..
1- it has un matchable thump
2- Older the enfield more the value
3- it is fully metal no plastics at all .. just 1% of plastic on the whole bike
and yea if you arnt aware of the enfield trend the let me tell you .. older enfields are more expensive than newer enfields... and yea ofcourse they are worth it.. and yea go for a std it is the best ..

oh yeah..the ole ones had the definative thump!!...miss em a lot...
the thump is due to the ponts ignition system...justs wish it was effecient enough at higher rpm's

How is the thump because of the points ignition?
btw, dont the older bullets have a heavier crank?

definately mahn ill do so dont worry .. well yea the older bullets have a heavier crank.. the heavier the crank the more powerfull the thump.. people even put rollers in the crank for having better thump .. the utlimate thump would be ..
                    1 old enfield
                    2 rolers
                    3 goldstar..

well i dont know abot the point ignition ..but the xtremely older bullets used to run on magnets (bsa, trumph) . it gives me 30 kmpl.. no idea how much does it give me at higher rpm's

Get AVL = TBird or Machismo for more trouble free running.
However, spare parts are pretty expensive.

Get CI = Electra or Bullet for more classic feel and sound.

I would put money on Electra, since it is more maintenance free (ignition system especially)

Don't pay more than 30K for any bike, unless it is relatively new (like 2000+)

saurabh, you may get an 02 bullet electra 4s for that kinda budget. Maybe a T bird form the initial lot too. From what i know, post 2000 std 350s would be much more costly.
And with Bulls there is not really fixed model-year-price thing! This holds especially true for the Std350.
