  • Kawasaki ninja 650r or something else???

    Hi Friends/Xbhpens....

Now I hv decided & settled down for a super bike and questions list is long enough for selecting the correct one, as looking to my budget & need somehow & somewhere Kawasaki Ninja650r 2011 is my first choice, second choice is Honda CBR600r, Ninja with 4.6L ex showroom price would can fulfill my all need as i think, looks is also good of the bike is it look as good as, it looks in pictures??

So here i need your great help, I m localate from Delhi, My height is my main concern, I m 6 feet & 2 inches and 82kg, as currently i m riding HHH 2011, a top most reason why i bought it because it feels bigger than any other bike in 150cc segment, Can Ninja 650 will look enough bigger to suit my height bcs after to buy even on hunk i does not feel good as bike looks smaller than me so i feel bad, so Ninja 650 should not feel smaller than me as i m spending 5l , it should be a worth buy for me.

I need a sports tourer, semi fared or a fully fared and i m gonna ride it for my daily city ride , like from home to office & return, in Delhi city traffic and it would be able to give at least 20-25kmpl, and gonna take her on long drives on weekends around 400- 500km in a day. Is spares parts & maintenance affordable of this bike??

I think 72PS will enough to play with a bike in india on daily basis and low end good torque is also good for traffic riding, rest are the tech spec is also enough, bcs no one can nvr exceed the speed of 160-180 on Indian roads , a 1000 cc would not be a worth buy, as i think and can't buy also ...

So do you people hv any other machine in your minds which can suit my needs and budget , brand does not matter for me actually it should looks heavier on me as i said and spare and service should be a problem in India, i read a lots of comments on net, but i don find any specific bad thing related to the bike except the few's( every body has different opinion on everything), please tell me the bad things or the problem i can face in future with this machine, specially i need the suggestion from the owners...please help or suggest any other bike if that suits my need...

    thanks in advance.
    Ride safe....

Ofcourse Ninja is an upright bike so it will suit you and price is mouth watering. But the question is will you get one? Its very hard to get a Ninja 650R from BPBK showrooms. Availability is a concern. If you get one then it will suit you. Plus you can get good riding gears from the money you save. CBR600R would be very expensive and not good for touring as well for 6'2"". I think CBR600F is available in India without import but Ninja 650 will be better if you can get one.

a big leap from 150 cc to 650 cc,what about the 500 cc in between.
see if i were in place i would have chosen hyosung ,but ninja is also good rather great at that price point.
now about big bike thing, hunk is a naked bike, ninja is faired and BIG,so you need not to worry, hyosung is even bigger.
now about the touring part ninja will be more comfortable simply because of the riding position.
enthusiasts often do,but i somehow don't like the idea of commuting on a 650 cc considering the chaos on road during office hour one has to deal with, for that purpose cbr would be great,it returns good fe too and it is compitent tourer too.buy the c-abs version, and for the rest 3 lac saved buy me a ninja.
and the question remains why do i race?

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Which are those other options at around 500cc...and
hyosung will fit on my budget i don't think so, I have checked about the hyosung a lot and found very good about the bike from hyosung, but hyosung manufacture the bike somewhere at 500cc.

hyosung is about 20 k dearer than ninja i guess.

Last time when we did BFast ride with 650's they needed to be tanked up every 200 Kms; I don't their tank capacity though.

buddy start with 250 ,then upgrade gradally to 650cc to litre class.going through your post i felt you don't need 650 cc right now,go either with cbr or ninja 250.may be five years down the line you will own litre class but to me 650 cc is not for you right now.
and the question remains why do i race?

+1; I tend to agree with this; there're lots to know than known!!! Who knows, at some point in time, a few might even loose interest with motorcycles!!!
