Dio is a little sleek compared to New Activa. It seemed to me the Activa stance and not the sleek Dio. Even if its a Dio, it still is a good choice.

@Antz, posts regarding it are deleted. I understand why you pointed out to that thread.

Highly impossible unless you want to spend millions of $$$ spent on surgery or cloning; and both are worthless, IMHO.

Thank you all for your replies.

Got mixed reviews on wego on the internet though more were on the positive side.

I was more inclined towards the Honda Activa.

We live in Delhi so after sales service wise will honda be a good choice.

Mahindra i read is not good FE where as Activa is.

Usage wise my wife will not be driving much may be 250 kms a month at the most for now.

The place were i live the roads are not that good hence would be looking for a good suspension. I read wego has better suspension than the activa. Is it tru.

Does anyone own a dio here (the new one).

Will try to get a test ride first and then decide.

I can wait till august if Yamaha comes out with its version of scooters.

                  @Sunil :

Rather than taking vague opinions Online here and Going Off Topic quite now and then, its advisable for your wife to go with you and have a test drive of each one of them, and whichever feels good ( it will be wife's choice, you cant argue..) take it up..

                  Best of Luck

another vague suggestion take suzuki swish into consideration,it is most powerful of the lot.
activa has spring loaded hydraulic damper upfront while wego has telescopic front suspension which is better.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

And larger wheels compared to other scooters which feel better on bumpy and uneven road surfaces.

The HONDA engine and overall bulit quality should be better. The combi brake I heard is effective.

Test ride both and find out.

Activa is just awesome, you should buy it with eyes closed, second comes wego and then access 125..

                            gearless - go for wego

I am happy to finally be an xbhpian.

I took the delivery of TVS Wego on Tuesday - 10th April 2012. The decision to buy wego was mainly immediate availability. I bought this scooter for my wife though I will also use it some times. I wanted the scooter immediately as my wife has to commute to her new clinic everyday.

Decision:Like many people I too was confused between Honda Activa/ DIo and TVS wego. So I first went to Triton TVS at Hebbal, Bangalore. The staff there were courteous and eager to help . Asked for a test drive of wego and Immediately they offered a black wego. First my wife rode it and she had a smile on her face. Then me my wife and my son took a test drive and I was pretty impressed with the power and handling of the scooter. Took the quotation Rs 56150 on road + Rs 2080 for accessories. when asked about availability the sales lady told if it was cash payment it was next day!!! and if cheque then it would be 2 days. Then I went to Dhruvesh Honda mekhri circle Bangalore. Staff there were not bothered to even greet us. After running fro one counter to other finally a guy made us sit and just started to give quotation, when asked about waiting period he said 60 - 90 days!!! Then I asked about test drive he said only activa was available for TD. When we went near the activa for TD the guy asked for my wife's driving licence, sadly she had left it at home! the guy refused her the test drive. finally I showed my DL and only I was allowed the TD that to with the sales guy riding pillion with me!!! Very contrasting to TVS people!!! The whole experience with the Honda dealership was not a surprise, I have read about Honda dealer's pathetic attitude in many blogs and owner reviews. My wife was very disappointed with Honda ppl.

Before this whole TD experience, my wife had taken a few Honda owners opinion about the scooters and all of them had given good reviews. Before the test drive experience she was ready to travel in bus for 60 - 90 days and wanted only Honda, she tried wego only on my insistence,But after seeing their attitude she decided she would go for Wego. She also felt wego easy to handle (Body balance tech)and to put center stand. She liked Cappucino Brown.

Dealership Experience: On 9th April I went to Triton TVS and booked Brown wego and paid full cash as I wanted delivery on 10th April. The whole experience was pleasant. As promised my wego was delivered on 10th April with odometer reading of 12 kms. I took her to shell petrol pump and filler her to the brim.

Ownership experience: Till today wego has covered 92 kms in 4 days. Till yesterday there was no problem, but yesterday I noticed that after 30 kmph till 50 kmph there was something holding the engine back. It was like the engine wanted to rev but it was starved of something. I read the previous post of a similar problem with some one else's wego. Today morning I saw some oil leaking from the engine. Took her to the Triton service, they were courteous and attended to the problem immediately and changed the oil seal and also rectified the problem of engine pulling. Near my wife's clinic the neighbour shop guy also got a wego which has done 400 kms, He too had similar problem but some other TVS service guys took 2 days each time twice to rectify the problem of oill leak. Now his wego is ok. I hope the problem with our wego has been sorted out. The scooter is very easy to drive in traffic with pillion rider, it dose not wobble at all.

Verdict: More or less I am happy with wego except with this oil leak problem. The engine starts with 3rd kick every morning with out choke.. haven't checked the mileage yet, will do it when I fill her up to the brim next time.

                            5. Ease of putting center stand - even my wife can put

                            Dont like:

                            1. Front cabinet space
                            2. Under seat space

I will definitely write about the mileage and long term ownership experience after I have done more kms in our wego.

Some Honda dealers are too easy minded as people are more leaned towards them and hero and they'll get more sales..they just dont take customers seriously.
