Thanks a lot guys for the advice.I think I will put my first option as 135 5s.
What should I put second RX 100 or RX 135 4s?"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

In my opinion n reading from your requirement + budget....go for a 135 4s.
since you are planing for performance mods 135 will be the best choice.
135 5s is a great bike...but Im sure that that you cant find a bike within your budget and you are going to get tired searching for spares...Ram will be able to explain it better...
100 ...a classic bike and a good performer...go for this bike if your plan is to maintain the bike in stock condition. Its heard like a stock 100 will perform better than a stock 135. But for mods 135 is the best choice.
And its my suggestion, dont go for mods...preserve 2-strokes..

This Kid, will need to go through the 2 stroke forum completely with respect to rebuild, what goes in and what goes out. It is not the same as buying vegetables from market. There are many 2 stroke members who have restored their bikes and you could find their detailed restoration thread. First of all, you'll need to decide what bike, then go about finding the spares, then finalize going about the restoration if need be.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011
2012 - Meghamalai | Kuttralam | 2011 Ooty | Munnar | 2010 Point Calimere | Horsley Hills | Yercaud

Yeah,I am spending hours on 2 stroke forums now.I have learned a lot,but not enough to go for a rebuild myself.Never mind,I have a mechanic near by.RX hunt is on again.Going to see an RX 100 tomorrow.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostThis Kid, will need to go through the 2 stroke forum completely with respect to rebuild, what goes in and what goes out. Should I consider samurai, max 100?Heard they are fuel efficient and cheaper than rx,that way I can go for a complete rebuild.Spare for samurai is available here.Don't think its original though. Can a ported, expansion chamber fit samurai match (at least come close to) stock RX 100 performance?"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Suzuki Samurai/Max 100 are completely different from RX genre. So you'll need to respect what each bike is capable of and not try to match with one and another.Originally posted by albyjose View PostShould I consider samurai, max 100?Heard they are fuel efficient and cheaper than rx,that way I can go for a complete rebuild.Spare for samurai is available here.Don't think its original though. Can a ported, expansion chamber fit samurai match (at least come close to) stock RX 100 performance?RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

@ TS
Check out for Shaolin / Shogun..am sure that would fit in your budget
First decide on the bike and then search out, you cannot search for all RX series and choose which ever comes out first meeting your budget criteria only...you will regret after buying it.
Buying a RX and maintaining it in good condition is also a point which you need to look at. Spares are not so cheap & you dont get the right mechanic who knows well about how these bikes work (most Mech's treat all bikes the same way, unless he is an expert)Never Give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.

This is really very different opion on buying a used RX100 or any that kind of bike including Suzuki.

As per your write ups it seems you need high bhp bike and so you are going for second hand RX100 or Suzuki
, (new ! no question.)
Now you will get more better bikes in this terms than this old legends.
Ramesh is right, maintaining any of this old legends would cost you good money which indeed can get you a second hand CBZ or pulsar 180 even pulsar 200.
Parts are available but at what cost?? normal?? or some kind of hiked price?? when the supply of the bike and parts are close to nil than surely it will cost you more.
Think again before buying??
And if it's your Passion that you should have a RX100/suzuki in your stable with other bikes then it's a different case. There are many people with sophisticated cars and bike but want to keep RD350 in their collections too.
This is all about passions but not need ??? there is a huge difference in requirement of a bike and passion.
you decide that, we can only suggest or guide you.

Ok.But I am forced to compare,Its the only way I can determine which is best for my requirement.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostSuzuki Samurai/Max 100 are completely different from RX genre. You are right.I need a decent power bike for less cost.I love 2 strokes, but I can never say I am such a hardcore fan like many people here.I wish to own a 2 stoke at some point of my life. For right now I am need a bike, with decent performance,35 mileage, below 35k.Many people are asking me to get a cbz/pulsar.Suppose I brought a cbz/pulsar.How much do you think a complete engine rebuild will cost?Originally posted by somen1984 View PostThis is really very different opion on buying a used RX100 or any that kind of bike including Suzuki.

It won't cost you much as Bajaj and Hero are reasonable in india
mostly with in 15k for full engine rebuilt, but this is for totally gone case bikes, good CBZ/pulsar comes for 35k. so rebuilt cost would be less. goen case depends how you bargain.
