RTR Refresh vs RTR FI?

Took a TD of Fi some time back. As soon as i sat on it, it felt small for me. I am 5ft 9in tall. I was among the first to take the TD of Fi at Tristar in Domlur. I hadn't ridden a carb before(not even now) so can't comment on that variant. But for the Fi, its a peach of a machine. I felt the low end to be much better in P220 but only marginally. Exhaust sounded like a Dolby stereo. Great music for the ears. Gears were smooth even though the bike was undergoing run-in. Brakes were solid with a nice bite. Vibes didn't creep in as i couldn't take the bike beyond 4.5k rpm. The blue speedo is another brownie point for it. Really worth it for the price but had it been a bit longer and torquier low end, it would have a been perfect.
Waiting for HH to show what ZMA Fi is made of. But When? is the million dollar question. The rider doesn't pick the bike, the bike picks the rider

The p220 is a higher cc engine, so will have better torque across the range a bit.Originally posted by road_ripper View Post
coz apache is known for its low lower end torque as its a big oversquare engine..
The 220 packs in lots of lower end punch and apache comes no where near to it.
The RTR, although it has a oversquare engine, the cam profile changes the character a bit. It has good low down poke too. Its an off idle screamer. The RTR will have more low end than a p180 too.
Now, tell me how is that the R15 being a long stroke motor has less low end then?sigpic

I meant that he has said low end is MUCH BETTER in RTR-Fi. Then he has said its only MARGINALLY BETTER. Thats what was confusing. Which felt faster is a matter of testing it out personally. So I won't comment on what is faster, which has more poke etc etc.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

I have ridden the Rtrfi extensively buddy.. no wonder that it gives a lot of outburst on the higher revs than the p180, it simply blasts till 12k, love that.. but we're talking about low down torque... apache struggles so much low down the revs man.. i mean keep the rtr fi below 3k and u'll know what i mean..u feel like petrol is not flowing properly.. it gasps for breath. Do the same on a P180 and man it pulls soo even and neat even loads of pulling at 2k rpm..Originally posted by Joel View PostThe RTR, although it has a oversquare engine, the cam profile changes the character a bit. go for FI dude .. its the best <150 cc bike in indiaOriginally posted by gd76 View PostI went to Zen TVS & Ashwa TVS yesterday enquiring about the FI, the guy at Zen told me that waiting for FI is about a month, but if I needed it urgently they could talk to the company & get it in 10 - 15 days. Ashwa TVS told the waiting period for the same would be about 30 - 45 days. And yes the RTR is available with rear disc brake as an option. FI is available in 4 colors namely Black, Titanium grey, Orange & yellow.
@ All: What do you guys suggest I replace my P180 classic with ? The FZ16 or the RTR FI ? Thanks in advance for the inputs.

I said RTR not FI. The RTR FI has a higher torque peak over the RTR carb and hence it has more of higher rpm charcter.Originally posted by road_ripper View PostI have ridden the Rtrfi extensively buddy.. no wonder that it gives a lot of outburst on the higher revs than the p180, it simply blasts till 12k, love that.. but we're talking about low down torque... apache struggles so much low down the revs man.. i mean keep the rtr fi below 3k and u'll know what i mean..u feel like petrol is not flowing properly.. it gasps for breath.
