Dear All, i am really very sorry for starting a new discussion within but after a long and frustating wait for pulsar 200ns tomorrow i am going to buy a new bike.
the showroom guys are increasing the date for 1st batch of p200 week by week.

So please help me out guys.

    My height is 6ft.

    1. i am taking the bike on finance.
    2. Choices p180, rtr180, and p220 (reason being cheaper finance schemes).
    3. Mileage is a concern for me.(anything around 40).
    5. Mostly city ride and ocassional Touring.
    4. Durability and low maintenance.
will keep this bike for around 2 years.

    Please help.

i do understand that there is nothing much left for discussion until the P200 NS launches...

@VRUGONNAB and other users speaking on those lines.... everything being new, nothing has been tested (in other country/on any other bike) that's very true..

Lets hope that the bike gets launched soon (sometime in May) so that we get to see full blown reviews about this machine and that will be the best food for thought

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I remember one old saying that says something like this "when you are almost there, you feel like you can't take even take one step further".
This comes from old generation where they had to walk to most places & there was no proper transporation back then! In your case, clearly you know that launch is around the corner. It's just that you got excited with unveiling of the bike and went to wait mode before everyone else, soon you had enough of it and now you want to go for one of the available bike!! My sincere suggestion, gather some patience and wait, I know it's tough

As you said your height is 5.10 ft,I would suggest you not to go for the Pulsar 200NS.

I am 6.2ft, when i sat on it, i was very uncomfortable as i found it too compact. To be honest its almost same as P 135.

MG, why dont you comment here. I think you saw me sitting on 200NS.What are your thoughts.

There is a lot of difference between 5'10" and 6'2", don't you think so? i'm 5'10", actually slightly taller than that, never felt cramped on a P135, had one for 10 months. But, Of course it might be to do with my build as well, i'm not that well built.

I could have waited for p200 but as i said i am taking a new bike on finance. so p200 finance may not suit my pocket.

Visited the Hero motocorp showroom today (Maxis auto - Mulund West, Mumbai) to test ride a ZMR and found, to my agony, that the OTR price of ZMR is 1,15,000 RS. Now that is making the deal not very favourable for me. Suppose if the 200NS gets launched for about 95K and I throw in MRF Zappers than OTR max for 200NS would be not more than 1L. I won't feel great to know that such a good machine is bogged down by an uncompetitive price. NS is winning the battle already it seems.

Another update at Motoroids: Bajaj Pulsar 200NS to be launched on 14 May | Motoroids
There in the comments column a guy, 'Bunny Punia' claims that the news updated in Motoroids is not true.........

                        Guys need help fast!!!!
A guy had made two booking for RE Electra 350 at showroom. He got delivery for one of the bookings, for the second booking he is expecting another bike soon to come to the showroom. I agreed to pay him an extra 3-4K. (for me the total will be 1.25L, including his commission). Previously, i had ruled out the RE Electra due to its waiting period. Now that factor doesn't stand anymore.

For now, the comparo is between NS (1L OTR Expected), ZMR (1.15L OTR confirmed today) and RE Electra (1.25L OTR along with the commission)....

My heart says Electra though I have never taken a ride on it. RE owners pls guide me through this one, if someone can provide his no. I will call you.

I am going to meet the person on Weekend. Please let me know your views by then.

                        Thanks.

karizma or p180.. More inclined towards karizma coz it will give you the resale value after 2 years!

@chandrajit - please have a look at the avenger 220. I kind of think it meets all your requirements and is well within a good margin in your budget. Sitting posture is really cool.
Why i say that? it has transformed into a very good looking cruiser.. I envy the discs it comes with even tho i have a fazer and the handlebar is superb.. Just install the visor.. It was coming in 84 k here in hyd when fazer was at 83.2 k.. Now fazer is at 87 cant tell about avenger
For a tourer like you.. It suits.

Thanks Muztariq, but I'm not up for the Avenger. I know Avenger is a good bike but i don't have a taste for it. Thanks
