What about the new RTR?? has anyone tried it yet?? vibration reduced or what?
NO..i test rode it,its the same...
if there is no GS then the only option in the 150cc segment is the dazzler (if its available) else the Yamaha SZR.. Both are very good bikes..greeat all rounders!

You better go for Yamaha SZ or FZ16.....
no vibration, less maintenance, 40+ mileage(sz), great riding comfort
in case of Fz16 u ll get a excellent mid range power and good top end also. FZ16 is the best, except mileage u have all the features.
RTR 160 or 180 have a good power delivery, but its got vibration after a speed of 60kmph.

I have test driven fz many times....the best thing i liked about it is its non vibrating nature.....just superb.....though i didn't ride it extensively but everyone says it has a weak top end. is it true?
but you know mileage is the only problem for me. again tell me one thing does its tappets gets lose after high speed tour? both my cbz/unicorn had this irritating problem everytime i went for a tour....though in Bangladesh i'm yet to find out a single fz with lose tappets thats why in my mind i always thought that this must be a gem of an engine that can withstand anything.

dont know really.....but if everyone insists that its the least vibey...then i'll consider it....but will be very tough for me if it goes below 40kmpl....coz you know i always use to get 45kmpl+ in both my cbz/uni in highway

please tell me more about the mileage and top end you mentioned since everyone is against its top end and mileage
what about the new cbz xtreme?

i own a fz16 2010. I never had any probs with tappet issue, though its top end is bit lesser than pulsar and RTR only. If u are bothered about top end u can fix it by changing front sprocket. And about mileage am getting about 43-44 in highway.
CBZ extreme is good bike though but its power delivery is not so good.

an fz with fully synthetic engine oil in it , is the leeeast vibrating bike i have ever ridden. Top end of 120 is acheivable with some minor idle rpm adjustment. Though on long tours dont ride it above 90 constantly - problems reported!
If you want to glide like a knife on butter.. Fz with FS oil!! I was so confident of its performance that i never went back to service centre after second service.. Warranty was voided within 3 months of ownership! I am in the 14th month now..

Fz handles 80-90kph speeds easily. Even on long tours. Cant comment on weak top end.

My fzs gives 43-45kpl in city (single rider) and 48-50kpl in 70% hiway 30% city riding (single rider

Mileage drops to 38-42 in city when riding with pillion and 46kpl in hiway (~80kph)

                mind explaining?

@ Thread Starter, have a TD of CBR 150R, its a 150cc bike with company claimed mileage of 56kmpl & can easily maintain 80~100kmph for long durations.
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

thanx for the reply ....i'm not that much concerned with top end. decent top end will be enough. i always felt greater power delivery on my Ex cbzx in case of midrange and top end....& used to get 45-50kmpl in highway @70-100kmph.
i wanted to know does the new cbz x vibrates?? compared to fz what is the vibration level? i'm yet to ride the new cbzx.
if higher vibration level then i'll definitely go for FZ.

The xtreme u had mighty have been a bad product from the compoany(every 1 has with 1 or 2 bikes) cbz x is a smooth bike..i own the new one it is butter smooth till 100 and starts vibrating after 100 but not that terribly

Better u go for fz instead of fazer. It got fairing which is waste piece justy for style only, it effects the aerodynamics of bike.
CBR 150 bookings started. Price will be around 1.35lakh

read it here.. Never tried myself, but i think its acheivable.

if you have no fully synthetic oil available.. Fz is just another bike.. My bike appears rough with mineral.

Regarding problems at constant high speed rides - ppl complain of cylinder problems and piston seal breakage and oil consumption. Post 13786 may be of some help..

I am still thinking or in delima...

How can a bike running on 90km/hr gives an average of 40+kmpl??

unless untill it's a 100cc range bike. effortless 90km/hr is not for sure!!!

speed comes at price of power which indirectly hit your average.

If you need some good bikes with average than SZ/Unicorn/P135/P150 are there which should give you always an average of 40kmpl+.

Vibration less bikes at 90km/hr means some with bigger engine like 180cc/200cc/220cc/ or R15 or CBR150.

but surely not a average fellows.

Are you going to ride it it at 70-90km/hr daily continuously ??

                            I don't think so...

Read your mind and necessary mostly people some time hear/see and make mistake of buying something which lure them and land them in trouble later...

One thing is sure Average and crusing speed doesn't come together.

Now we are in an era where we are tied to have bikes with 40kms becuase we need speed/power/ cornering/etc. but average is still what pocket permits.

So hear your instinct and buy what ever you like.

The only bike (costing < INR 1 lac ) which can think of achieving this feat consistently is maybe the RTR160. Can't say about the new one but the old one can definitely manage this with ease. But then it won't fit the primary requirement of bring a vibe free bike. So, @Thread Starter my friend, I guess you will have to compromise somewhere.

Either compromise with FE and go for FZ
Or compromise with speed and go with Unicorn
Or compromise with vibes and go with RTR160
Or compromise with budget and go for CBR150R.

Take a pick, now the ball is in your court.

                                list all suggestions

go for cbz extreme new versions, that will meet your likes.
wait a minute , if i list down all the recommendation ,
may be yamaha szr is most recommended bike.
szr is not well accepted bike in dhaka city. due to that you will enjoy a price gain at only 186,000taka. If you have start and stop drive,, Torque of 12.8Nm @ 4500rpm will keep others busy to catch you.
this bike is a combination of low end torque with decent power at top end.
                                yes yamaha.
