  • 220f or should i wait for the 200ns ??

    hi,

firstly i just have to say, its an honor to be a member of the xbhp club
I'm from bangalore and wanted some help in choosing between these two bikes!
i recently drove the 220f and i liked it, my budget is about 98k
i wanted to know by when the 200ns be available in b'lore? how much do u think it will cost (on road)
do you think it is a wise decision to go for the 220f now ?? do you think the 200ns will be better than the 220f (in terms of engine, mileage and performance) ?

Anoop, P200 NS should be available just about now. You should check with your Probiking showroom. In terms of engine, mileage and performance, NS should anyday be better than P220F. Also, in terms of handling, P200 NS is a good boost over 220F.

However, you could specifically choose 220F for the following reasons:

    1. It has a fairing so we expect touring to be slightly more comfortable,
    2. It has lesser gears so maybe within city, it should be easier to live with, with lesser shifts, (not that important for we, the bikers though),
    3. It has that "big" looks, but looks are subjective so see their pics and then decide,
    4. If you're into hardcore touring, I suppose most mechanics around India know P220 better than P200 NS..

My advice would be, go for 200 NS. Its that damn good.

Slight Correction: Pulsar 200NS will not be sold in Probiking (Now KTM / Kawasaki) showrooms. So check for it at your regular Bajaj dealer, not Probiking.

And reason #2 for selecting a P220 over NS is .
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

That's actually is logical for a guy who "might not" want the additional "hassle" for an extra gear.

Anyway, I would personally advice the P200NS over the P220F

haha, that was kind of funny.

@TS, if you are not much into touring, then just wait it out for P200NS. It's just about to be launched all over India in a phased manner.

You seem to own a Karizma and want to upgrade to a Pulsar 220/200ns. Any specific reason.

Yeah, becouse my ZMA is 7yrs old. Showing its age. So want a change. Though I know its not an upgrade but need a change now.

Though I love my bike very much. It still performs good considering its age.
