I need your help in choosing a bike.
    Firstly my profile.
    Saurabh-age 21yrs old.
Height between 5'5-5'6 really very slim I weight only 48kgs as of now.
Been riding a Pleasure for almost 2yrs now. And bullet,r15v1 and karizma of a friend ocassionaly. [First one never suited me and I was not 48 at that time either] And maruti swift mostly.
Going to college by car is time consuming and really boring.
Its been more than a year now since I drove any geared two wheeler but I don't think there will be a problem.

So I need a bike now for going to college as Pleasure gives me mileage of around 30/lt [Never actually gave above 36/lt as I ride it at higher speeds] and my back is killing me on pleasure.
Daily riding will be almost 60 km,to be specific I need to ride from Pimpri(Pune) to Bavdhan every day.
    No Long rides.
    No pillion just me.
So I need a bike which will be comfortable ,powerful [I will be riding at around 60-100+ (whatever bike can do) speed on highway after wakad to be specific], bike weight not a big problem but lightweight is prefered, should be stable at speeds of 80 as there is pretty good wind on highway, good road grip highly necessary as these mopeds just swings and slides in wet conditions feels scary.
60-70% highway ride and remaining city ride.
    Low on maintainance.
Budget is not a problem but as I have already invested big amount in my MBA studies I don't feel like spending a lot.
New Apache I don't like its looks but its in my list..
Personally I am thinking to go for new r15 but thinking of mileage holds me back a little.
Anything above 40 I think is good for me.
But then unicorn came into my mind, heard its mileage is good can ride at around 80.
So I am open to all the suggestion from all.
Suggest me bike with good mileage in a budget of 80k [+ -10k] I guess with good looks. If I can't find anything appropriate then mostly r15 will be the choice ! !
Bullet is out of question as I need speed and it doesn't suit my personality.

Apologies for a long post But I hope you guys can help me better with all my above mentioned requirements .

    Regards
    Saurabh K

I do everyday considering having a cbr150 and p220 in family...and trust me,I will choose to die on a ns then cbr or p220 while riding...

Being mech. engineer doesn't mean that I can take any tool and repair any machine...
Come on man..accept it... NS200 is nothing much greater than P220. They are almost same in power performance. But definitely NS200 is much better handler than P220.
Given me the choice even I will opt for Ns200 over P220.

Surely NS200 is powerful than R15, but sadly you haven't met a right R15 rider, he will make you sweat for those extra 50cc advantage of NS to show it over R15.

No point in discussing Ns200Vs R15. Noe there are much better models in market today.

The initial model that I got was making a squeaking sound so they replaced it with a new model. The new model had the same problem so they oiled and lubed everything and the problem was solved. During first service I told the svc guys about engine noise but they did not give any heed to it. Later when the noise became prominent I took the bike to the svc again and this time they agreed to fix it. They took the bike under engine noise problem. When I came to get back my bike they said that a nut was loose in the engine. They also said that they had to change the engine oil which was absurd as I had my engine oil changed 10 days ago during my first servicing. I had also put an addative in the engine oil at that time. They were charging me for the engine oil again which was absued. I refused to pay. Anyway they said that the engine noise issue has been sorted out so they asked me to test ride the bike. After the test ride I found the same noise again. This shows how incompetent and sleazy the svc guys are. This is a new bike. Hardly a month old and I am having engine noise issues and now the petrol tank makes a noise while going over bumps. I also noticed some smoke coming out of engine when I started my bike in the morning(Cold start). Is it the exhaust gas leaking from the engine? The SVC guys said that it is just grease on the engine that is causing the smoke. I find that absurd because how can grease evaporate and cause smoke when I cold start the engine. I am pretty sure it has to be exhaust gases leaking from the engine as the SVC guys didn't do a good job of assembling the engine back after they opened itExperts please help. This is my firt bike and I am having such a horrible experience with it. Had enough of svc mechs. Can any one suggest a good apache mechanic in Pune who can solve my issues.
Post it in the Apache RTR 180 ownership thread...guys there can help you out.

Contrary to belief, in the R15 the bike is the limitation, while on the NS, you will be the limiting factor
