i have heard that the disc brake unit has been replaced now from nissin to bybre on hunk and cbz-x that means the cost may be low from previous one and also heard that braking is improved from previous versions.

Woohoo... Thats an awesome update @sibun.
Did you guys notice any other noticeable change in the model apart from the Kickstart?

Whats the waiting period? City? Onroad price?

      Thanks in advance!

        Hi All,

As Sibun rightly said in the previous post, that delivery of the Hero Branded Hunk with kickstart has started. I visited a showroom and here are the pics.
I am going for it soon.

Do, not worry. As i always post after confirming the facts rather than rumor. Any thing that Hero does, i will be the first to get news as i have contacts there.Actually i think the shade of the red color is changed from previous version and is looking much better.

This is just the starting. Hero is taking customer feedback and accordingly working.Even it is working on new models and according to my sources hero is bringing out new engines which will replace old engines and the new engines will be more powerful, give more mileage and will be better performing.
I think Hero will now become aggressive in new launches and will be more technology oriented.

@Sibun, it really feels good for new comers to a community (like me) to see such assurance. In my last post I mentioned your name not to question your credibility to information but rather I mentioned your name as a starting phrase to the post.
                No offence actually meant.

yeah you are right, hero is now free from their contract with honda and I am sure they will now explode with various new products and technologically advanced machines to satisfy their loyal customers. they are setting up R&D units, hiring new engineers investing money in lot of new projects...
by the way thanks a lot for the additional info my dear friend...but i wanted to know the total number changes they have made to hunk and xtreme...

Actually, no offense taken.I didn't reply because i took offense but because i wanted to say that if you want any news of hero then i am the first person who will give you the news.

The rear disc which was a nissin unit remains but the front disc which was tata yukata unit has been changed to bybre. There is not much change in hunk/extreme but after some years hero will change the engines of all models. It will bring in new engines with more refinement, more power and better mileage. The first model to sport new engines will be impulse/hunk/extreme. They will have more power in the range of 15.5 bhp and will sport better fueling. Then the commuter bikes will get an engine overhaul by getting vertical cylinder engine and more power in the range of 9 bhp. This includes splendor, passion, CD deluxe. These are the news told by my friend and i will pester him for more news.

Sorry, I do not see any change in Indicator design?

As Sibun pointed, it seems the paint tone has been changed a bit, and the paint finish is just awesome.
First generation Hunk (which I own) is infamous for its painted fibre parts losing the shine soon!

Today I booked a Hero Hunk Single Disc (colour black) for Rs.79783/- [ONROAD] with kickstart.
Delivery would be on coming Monday.

Some update I would like to share, today while my payment etc was over, suddenly I received an update from the GM of the showroom stating that they have received new rates for Kick versions of CBZextreme and preferably Hunk. CBZextreme with kick is Rs.1800 costlier than the non-kick version.
GoodNews is, for Hunk there's no changes in price. with/without kick costs the same.

Hi Maverik, Sorry I couldnt get a pic of the the discs (as my mobile camera died the moment I entered the showroom), but can confirm that though BYBRE was not mentioned on the caliper assembly of the disc (just a aerial view) but it was mentioned on the brake fluid reservoir.
Is it an indication that the brakes are Bybre ones?

Didnot go for dual disc majorly because of the uncertain high waiting time (around 30-45 days). Single disc was available so picked the same. Dual disc version would cost around 3 thousands more.
On the day of purchase, only one hero showroom was having (any) variant of Hunk available.

yes if bybre is engraved on the reservoir it means the brakes are of bybre similarly nissin is engraved on the master cylinder of karizma/ZMR.
