Just kidding . Yeah 200NS going by the technology would be apt. But still 220 for performance and looks. TD for to take a decision and watch out for the waiting period of 200NS in your locality

Yeah. I heard a news that the Updated Ninja 250 and the Ninja 300 would be in Indian Markets by the end of 2013. Correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah, may be.But the thread starter is not looking to get a bike next year. And both will be heavily out of budget too, needless to say!

If I may be bold enough to suggest, why not look at the CBR150R? or the RTR180? Both proven and great bikes. Fit into your budget one way or another. Not too many complaints. But if you are really interested in the 200NS go for it. Why the questions. Like one of the guys said, it should feel like love at first ride. I had a budget of 1lakh. I test rode the duke, the NS, the 150R, the R15 and the RTR. I still went for the RTR. Simple. The NS is technologically a hot cake. Seating position is something you should decide like most people said. Mileage isn't bad, and I'd like to point out, your friend's might be a one in a thousand case.
Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

              Rides : Honda CB Twister(Feb 2011 - Present) | TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS(Sept 2012 - May 2016) | Honda CBR250R C-ABS Repsol(March 2017 - Present)

                !
This is very controversial comment always!! I myself asked few NS200 owners, got both feed backs: some said they don't get more than 25-30kmpl(they are highway riders, so all time I guess they would be on 80kmph+), on other hand, some said Bhaiya, it's rocking, mad power with mileage of 35-40kmpl+. in both statement It's clear that it will give good power with good performance.

Frankly answer your self: Are you buying Rs 1.3L bike for mileage ?? Any 150-200(performance) cc bike if gives a 30-40kmpl is more than enough. else we have normal commuter 125-150cc bikes available.
