Yes, do check the make and confirm it as it may help in resale unless you don't want to make it a lifetime partnerOriginally posted by R15Rocks View Post@Atul: As advised to Saurabh, confirm 2009 manufacture before buying. Cheers!
..
apart from some small niggles(as I feel) FZ is a awesome bike and I really like its styling, rear tyre, tank, headlight, nakedness ... Congrats dude you are getting a beauty.

FZ is really a nice bike and mileage is ok its not bad mine one is giving 42 in cities and more 45 on long rides.. bikes balance is very good, road grip and it center of mass is designed very well. u can bend the bike till ur knees touches the ground. Pillion is ok not that much uncomfortable as it looks yeah there is one problem with this bike is that u can not take ur GF on a long ride if she likes to wear salwar suit or saree.....only gals with jeans will feel comfortable at rear...

But 42/45 is significantly lower than the average we get from other bikes from the same segment

. Moreover mileage is a combination of riding habits&conditions. I get 43 from my R15 in city&48 on highway. I have seen many who are getting 20-25.

@Saurabh: There are others on the R15 thread who are getting the following mileage:Originally posted by chauhan_saurabh View Post41 from R15 is awesome .. can you share your riding style with others so that they can also get benefited?
37-38 in stop-go traffic
42-43 on relatively open roads
47-48 on highways
I guess I fall under the 2nd category. I never ride it to give more mileage-I utilize the power&cross 100 every morning when I go to office(@6 a.m.). However, I've been using Extra Premium right since Day1. That gives better smoothness&mileage. Also, I guess I'm using higher gears more often, as I'm not in stop-go traffic when I'm travelling to&from office (6 a.m.&2 p.m.).Hyderabad has pretty wide roads too!
As for my riding style-its nothing great-just stick to the basics-changing gears without overrevving or underrevving, never ride the brake/keep clutch pressed, no bursts of speed too often etc. I guess we all know most of it!
Overall, you've just got to remember that ripping once in a while is fun, but if you do that on a daily basis, its gonna eat away your savings on your fuel bills&later with engine problems!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

What do you mean by 'little bike'? I thought it had an oversized fuel tank for macho looks!Originally posted by ~Sathya~ View Postpersonally p180 is the best bike from bajaj =] not 220 not 200 xD
Secondly compared the FZ, Apache RTR Fi is way better in every league =]
and RTR Fi can beat a lot of bikes
So go for RTR Fi...only downside is it's a little bike xDQuench my thirst with gasoline!

Have you tried riding the Fz 16 with a pillion ride? If not, I strongly recommend it. My personal experience on the FZ has been a great. It is rock steady, has awesome low and mid range for city commutes and also ideal for long rides because of its comfortable seating posture. The long and wide handle bar, the adjustable mono-cross suspension and 140/70 rear radial tyre ensure an agile and comfortable ride even for the pillion rider.Watch my Baby R1 clock 148kmph at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=cAHbYl...e=channel_page.
