      Still RTR's better than FZ16 .. FZ16 is like 1.5 seater .. pillion can only sit astride .. noone can sit side on.

        Don't go for it. Might as well pay that extra and get one out of the factory.

        I'v sat as a pillion on FZ. Please dont plan on touring with Pillion. RTR Fi is ok considering your height. Age is showing on the P180. If you have no plans to tour with a pillion then FZ would be the best choice.

            good thing i found this thread. But not quite there what i wanted to ask... but falls very close.

            planning to take a bike in first week of Feb. Not able to decide which one to take out of YAMAHA FZ16 and BAJAJ PULSAR200. Price range of these bikes is very much the same. just 3-4 thousand rupees of difference.

            I am looking for a bike for long cruising. As i stay away from my home town.. i intend to go to my hometown on my bike at times. My home town is 500KMS away. Used to do that on a splendor. But those rides are history now. Now i want to enjoy the ride and also mileage is to be considered as for 1000 KMS up and down... it will be an imp factor.

            Could any one guide me which bike to go for?

            FZ16 or PULSAR200?!?!?!

              ^^FZ16 is a good bike, but not for long commutes. It performs extremely well for in-city commutes. It does show its lack of torque on hi-way cruising. For such long distance commutes a P200 is anyday better by virtue of its better torque. BTW have u not considered the ZMA ?

                @azharali01-To add you will get more or less similar mileage on either of the machine and there is a case that P200 may actually fare better by a km or two.

                  Yes, you should consider ZMA(great tourer) or Unicorn/GS150(better mileage, if you intend to tour so much. FZ will not suit for tours because of less and less power at high speed, lesser mileage than others. For me GS150 could be a great combination of Tourer + Mileage.
                  P.S.> GS also has 6th gear for high speed cruising.

                    thank u guys. I guess i will go for P200. and about the ZMA... i dont prefer it at all. it would either the FZ16 or the P200. as u guys suggest P200 is better bike.. will go for that. will be taking it by 2nd week of feb.
