I think this is not a right decision. I myself own two bikes one for city i,e Aspire and Second for highway and Touring R15. Practically keeping more than one bikes is really insane, by which i am suffering! Mostly I don't use my City bike, due to which it is dusting more of the time. Secondly I use R15 in city too, but i don't like using R15 in city. Fueling both bikes is a truama again, which leads to track of fuel in both bikes, Maintenance, etc.

Along with my Scooter and Car!! Ahhhhhh!!!!

I would still recommend only one bike which does both pretty well!! Keeping twoo bikes is really a mess!!

Buddy..soon I am going to get one more bike,I already have a splendor for short distance travelling, now considering 200 ns.Splendor will not be sold EVER!Sad thing is that even with touring on splendor(<200 km,still big deal as roads are pathetic, here),one month riding is always less than 1k.This is what makes so much difference between me and other bikers. In xbhp its normal to reach 20k in 2 years time,my 10 year old splendor is just 18k(I started using it only from last 2 year). Also here guys change their bike mostly after 5 years, for me the bike have to go 10 years or more.Hope 200 ns last real long.

Getting a Scooter for Daughter is a good decision.

Keep the bike for the time being and wait for new launches next year.

NS200 is well versed bike for city with right gears, Riding position of NS200 is well capable of daily city with highway and touring etc.
I guess there are some emotions attached to your splendour. But after some years when it will start rusting due to no use or will behave insane for no use then it will be more bad than keepig it with self. Practically you don't need a 2 bikes at all. First sell of the splendour!!

Mine Aspire is 12 yrs old, i regret why i din't sell it few years back? Today keeping more than one bike is using of unwanted parking space with unwanted fuelling etc...

Why to keep so much of confusion?? A person should have one car and one bike more than sufficient, but richy are some what different, buying and geting it to rust or no use approx....

Go for ZMA R... I Occasionally ride my ZMA with 2 kids & it's really comfortable...& faster then your fz in acceleration as well as Top Speed..
But yes I agree scooter is better option for riding with kids & family..

@threadstarter- So why did you book the NS and not Duke if your daughter won't be on the bike?

I empathise with you as my dimensions are similar to yours (6'1" n ~82 kgs, lesser biryani) and I found the Duke to be too compact for me. I am afraid I would look like a bear on a bicycle. That's one reason I would take the NS over the Duke if I were you
Did you ride the Duke at length and how is it in terms of ergonomics n comfort?

Not a test ride as such but got to ride it within the colony of an acquaintance... Chose 200ns mainly because I felt it more comfortable for me as well as if/when there's a pillion I wouldn't feel safe and relaxed (worrying about whomever is behind). And I cannot ignore that part even if i do buy a scooter. Secondly there's a 50K gap now between the two and I didn't feel that I would derive that much additional value from the duke given my riding style.

PS: Felt the duke to be small before getting on to it but not while riding it actually!
