R15 is strickly no with in a city limit, Your hands will curse and it's not so good in traffic(R15/CBR). As we are owing it so we have to use it in city, but when ever i get a chance i use my old 110cc bike for city, that is more comfortable than R15. Handling wise R15 and CBR are same in city, both needs more space then any normal commuter to move around in traffic.
If it's total highway ride then R15 and CBR both are good.
CBR lacks few switches, but one can adjust with out it too.
Pillion comfort in R15 is NIL, CBR has the good pillion seat and comfort.
If your family too would be boarding with you on bike then PLZ don't go for R15.

yes bro ! pillion comfort is must(family/gf)

Comfort while riding is something depends on person to person. But CBR is more comfortable then R15 on long tours say one shot 250Kms + ride.

Maintenance is something how you would like your bike to be. There are people who service in every 3 months/3k kms(which ever is earlier) which is a routine of Yamaha service. And there are people who Service their bikes at 3k kms only whether it's more than 3 months or what ever.

You will get a better idea about service and maintenance by visiting the SVC or asking question in ownership threads for respective bikes.

I am 5.5 ft riding R15/CBR/Duke/RE. I never felt that my height is not sufficient for rides. So neither be yours. Tip Toe touch won't matter.
hmm. thank u.. may be its just my fear I guess..

As you are new which ever bike you buy please control your rist! With in 2-3 months of riding your bike you will know in and out of your bike's behaviour, later on you can use it in any manner.

R15/CBR/Duke all will give you 35kmpl+. CBR gives more better average as compare to R15.

See your needs rather than looks !!

These three bikes comes with modern tech and features (durability and reliability is good)! Just choose the right bike. TR the bikes more than once and for some good kms i.e 5kms atleast(you can as this is a 1L+ bikes)

so far CBR 150 is satisfaying my needs... R15 and duke out only because of pillion seat.. otherwise I would have gone hands down with R15...

And the missing switches in Cbr, which is said to be the major setback .. are there any alternative for them ..

Bro, this is nothing to be called as major set back !! Those can be adjusted or use to with normal methods. The most important is comfort and pillion seat. CBR has both!! Go get your machine, This is the right time to avail best deals and offers as it's a year end!

From my perspective, it is a not a major setback. They have got the basic switch gear which works.

Things you may miss the pass light/Engine Kill. I don't see that as a major problem and I will not take that as a deciding criteria. After riding the bike in highway, I have forgotten all the shortcomings, that is what is my final word.

As Somen said, ride and comfort are most important. Then comes, performance, brakes, gears, tyres, electricals etc etc..
Riding 17.6 horses out of which 5 horses work in the city and other 12+ horses wake up after 6k rpm and run after 8k rpm

CBR /Duke /CBR250 are for those who can fill it daily. 52kms is not a small distance. And petrol prices are hiking like mad Bull...

If you can go then go for CBR 250ABS you get the safety of ABS with power and comfort. If you can't then no use going with CBR 150 or Duke for daily purpose..it will drink fuel daily!!
mileage is not a very big issue for me right now as is the safety and comfort. Im riding a cbz presently and i just hate it cz my palms hurt badly(its arnd 9yr old and driven jst 15k km). didnt find this problem with any of the cbr. cbr150r had a better posture in my opinion than a 250r plus its not that costly. cant be sure if ill get a cbr250r with ABS as i just got a laptop(aw m14x). can ABS be installed on any bike . saw some kits available(weren't too costly) . dont know how good they are.

CBR 150r and 250 shares the same riding position semi sports. Nothing beats ABS. It's one of the best features available in a bike. Adding it seperately didn't heard about it yet. And I don't think it will be reliable.

If you can't think over CBR 250ABS then why not RTR ABS ?? It's a Kool bike with ABS. If safety is in mind then ABS.

CBR is a good bike and very suitable for Highway rides, good mileage , DOHC engine with FI and dual disc brakes and good handler.

BTW what are your thoughts on Electra ? Avenger ? P220? NS200, these bikes are with comfort and tour capability.

haven't ridden a rtr before gonna give it a try. avenger was nice and comfortable. had a test ride of classic 500 and man its damn heavy but rides smooothh.. and its a very well balanced bike. not a big pulsar fan . i feel the duke is better than a ns200 and ns200 is just a copy of duke200. as per the price and looks cbr 150r attracts me the most. well just got my wallet stolen today from my bag kept outside the class when i was writing my univ exam. my DL and all is now gone. Do u think a driving license can be misused by someone? happy that the thief didn't take my jacket and gloves from the bag. try this link for the abs kit i was talking about "http://www.saferideabs.com/"

Just rode the Cbr150 ...its much difficult mahn.. the height and weight are the biggest problems.. almost tripped twice.. is it just bcoz I am not a regular biker or does the Cbr require more technique and concentration.. the height factor still haunting me.. Just want to remind u once again.. I have never ridden a bike for continues days.. just occasional friends bike ..dats it..

Should I go with the choice or should i opt for Fz/ fazer/ unicorn..

man this will be my 1st bike and really want it to be special!!! after so many days I am gona do something good for me.. but really damn pissed and confused now.. I need a bike which suits me and in which i should be comfortable.. CBR150 still my 1st choice..
What the hell should i do..genuinely!!!!

I would recommend Yamaha FZS as it is easy to drive and as you are a occasional rider you need some practice and with a fairing bike i think you will face many problems. I am not telling you cant ride it but the thing is you at present require practice before directly driving a fairing bike.
Its not the Bike that makes a Biker perfect, its a Biker who makes his Bike perfect :)

Please try FZ-S, you should be comfortable because it is light weight, easy to ride in city and if you are not used to much biking lately, pls re-start your passion with FZ. Unicorn is good but slightly on the heavier side compared to FZ. FE wise, unicorn is better compared to FZ. But handling, style, fun in driving in city FZ is the best.

Once you are comfortable in bikes you can jump into sport bikes. Because sport bikes are slightly different from other bikes, they are typically high revs, little aggressive posture and the purpose they are made are little different than a typical commuter bikes. Due to this, engine behaviour, gear ratios may slightly differ.

You can also try CBZ xtreme. Fazer is 5kgs more than FZ.

ya bro.. dat is rite.. i do need sometime with the bike.. but still opting for fz with my hearts on CBR is quite difficult for me.. ok is the problem genuine or am i the only one facing this one(referring to the height and weight of the cbr 150.. faired bike)
