  • Best handling and riding comfort

I am 23 years old. Height is 5'9".My budget is between 80k-120k.My top priority is handling. I would mostly ride my bike in city.my 2nd priority is riding comfort for me as well as the pillion rider.I would rarely be riding my bike above 90 kmph but it should have a decent accceleration.thanks in advance.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Check unicorn Dazzler. It may satisfy your conditions . As your prefer city , it will return you a good mileage figures and also comfortable for pillion rider. Priced around 80k. If you still need some more power go for cbr 150R but priced slightly above 120k

Look for cbr 150 from Honda......and the handling prowess...never forget the hooligan KTM Duke and the brushed assassin.....Pulsar 200NS......they both suit the type of bike you want......but for Duke stretch your budget a bit.

Trigger is better than Dazzler in the sense that is it more updated cosmetically. All digital guages LED stop lights and stuff. Don't go for dazzler, go for trigger since it is nothing but updated dazzler.

And if you want handling & acceleration then how come you are not looking at the FZ series?

Finally I would suggest that if your budget stretches to as much as 120K then do not go for 150cc, go for a bigger bike. Remember that handling is simply as good as you ride the bike, a bike is not going to magically handle itself on its own. Same goes with acceleration, if you keep your bike in the power band in every gear then almost all bikes will give you similar acceleration, conversely twisting the throttle WOT in 5th gear when your bike is at 40 is going to give you nothing in every bike.

My suggestion will be to look at P200NS,Karizma ZMA,P220 in that order.

Yeah they are good..plus you want handling and they are made for it.....one has a trellis spaceframe...another goes with pressed perimeter frame.

Pillion comfort?? Say no to Duke. P200NS is just ok. Best would be ZMA/ZMR. Though less power, but as you said, you wont go above 90 kmph often, it wont matter. Else stretch your budget and go for CBR 150R.

ZMR is not that great handler like the duke or p200ns IMO..
And duke is a comfortable bike

The best that suits your budgets and needs are Karizma ZMR & Karizma ZMA. ZMR is not very flickable in city, but ZMA is. Both provide enough comfort to the Rider and the Pillion.

If you can increase your budget, you can go for the RE Classic which is pretty comfortable enough, or the CBR 250R - Rider comfort yes, But I am not sure about the pillion comfort.
I dont think the Duke's "hardly"existing seat for a pillion will be comfortable for a pillion.
                      200 NS - I found 220F to be comfy than 200NS.

If you need something below 1 lakh rupees,
You can go for the FZ series. They perform nice at speeds 80-90kmph but not beyond that. The latest FZs have better pillion seats than the previous ones, and the rider comfort is very nice and also its flickable in the city.

I am not sure about Honda Trigger - Never ridden it. But Unicorn and Dazzler are pretty comfortable bikes, so I believe Trigger would be the same.

Least option (depending on your taste) would be an Avenger, performs pretty good at speeds 80-90kmph but not beyond that. High comfort for the rider but pillion comfort - not so good. You would have to get the pillion seat modified. Pillions will be pretty happy about the backrest in Avenger.
"Madness", as you know, is a lot like gravity, all it takes is a little push !

Dukes : Not Comfortable for pillion
200NS : Just a bit better than Duke but not comfortable

Rest look for options as others said.

I'd suggest the ZMA-R or P220 if you are looking at handling+comfort. These two tourers have the largest and most comfortable seats in the 200cc+ category.
You can also consider the Fazer/FZ which is comfy, it has got good torque and excellent handling. But as others said - it wont perform at speeds beyond 90kph.
CBR250 is very comfortable if you can stretch your budget, but if you are not looking to ride at 90+ speeds, the hefty price for the CBR won't make sense.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

With this budget, Duke 200, CBR 150, 250, Yamaha R15 are all out. All of this cost more than 120k on-road in Bangalore.

                            Twister is below your budget

Of the remaining bikes, Pulsar 200NS is a good handler. Unicorn is also a good handler except that many feel it to be heavy and its brakes are a bit 'spongy'. Same goes for Dazzler; but it more flickable, lighter than Unicorn. Fz/Fazer are very flickable, but it did not inspire as much confidence as Unicorn on highways (at least for me).

All the above can comfortably be used in cities

                            good - 200NS, Fz, RTR 160/180

Thanks everyone for their suggestions.I am getting a little bit inclined towards honda. Therefore I will wait first for the cb 150r to be launched in india. When is it expected to be launched in india?
