I have a friend, who hates RTR for its sitting position, I recomended him P180. He is happy. Simple. No bike is perfect- it just complements its rider. BTW, I have crossed 51K kms of fun biking.
I have ridden the rtr extensively and although I love the performance it offers but absolutely hate the vibey nature.
Once while going from Delhi to Jaipur I was riding an rtr 180 and believe me when I took a break midway my hands continued to feel buzzy for quite sometime even though I was wearing gloves, the vibes are that bad. Its not only one particular apache I have ridden, I have ridden quite a few and all of them have the same issue.
And exactly, the vibes on an RE are actually bearable but the apache is very buzzy I would say. Not at all comfortable for long rides, tires you out quickly.

And just for fun the vibes coming from the tank might not let you become a dad.

    Why 2wheels over 4.....
Its because 'Whatever it is, it's better in the wind!'

You are not getting my point. I never defended RTR, I said, Vibs are it character. And it could not be sorted out unless they make a new engine from the scratch. I have ridden my bike on many long rides, without any issue. If you had been in place of TS, I would have recomended P180(assuming your ht is more than 5'5").
And I had already said, the most comfortable bike, on this side of 1 lakh, is FZ, which I recomended to the thread starter.
I was just pointing out, that Vibs is not an ISSUE RTR (as Valkyre said). It is there in every bike RTR since the Apache 150 days. You should know, the purpose of the Bike, before calling it as an issue. RTR was never designed a tourer.
If you say, RTR is outdated,... I ACCEPT. If you say RTR feels cramped for tall riders...... I accept. These are the real issues.
And if you say, it would hamper you to be a DAD, then all mountain bikers are impotent (pun).

Doesnt seem like. Why would they upgrade an already high selling bike?? When it was launched, it was way ahead of its time, as far as design is concerned. It still is the most beautiful bike(its USP) at this side of 100000. Go for it. And yes, test ride the particular bike you are buying, before paying the amount.

So if a company makes a bike, all its bikes do not start. It's not an issue but character cuz all bikes don't start.

Would cost roughly10k above your budget but for the price it comes tech laden like liquid cooling, triple spark plugs for very good efficiency, good brakes (disc at both ends) etc

I agree here. Go for Pulsar 200 NS, its just 10-15k more than your budget.

Yup, you will never understand the purpose of RTR .... Sorry for trying to explain. Dude, you have already upgraded to bigger foreign bike, so you dont need to understand or worry about a cheap, punny, Indian bike. Enjoy your biking.

RTR is a nice bike, and I am happy that an Indian company is putting up a competition to other brands.

But that doesn't mean buying a "foreign" bike makes you anti-India.

                      no matter 100/125/150 CC...but budget is 80000...

Please try to suggest bike which have low seat height... (as I am kind of short guy and this is supposed to be my first bike so I am concerned about handling)
and no chance for replacing bike in 4-5 years...

If I were you, i would prefer a Bajaj Avenger over FZ, mostly for following reasons:

                      1. Bigger Capacity Engine being the primary reason => more power at the twist of a throttle, and the goodness of oil cooling is a boon.

                      2. My feet would plant better on ground on an Avenger, even if I come across any uneven surface mostly at the left side of roads while surfing across a traffic. Though FZ has a low seat height, it is not so low, I mean take a ride and feel for yourself.

                      3. As far as handling though traffic on an Avenger is said about let me tell you a little example. I run on a Stunner, my dad runs on a '86 Rajdoot. Now when I sit on a Rajdoot I feel terribly uncomfortable and lack my confidence even on an open road and so is the case with my dad when he is astride my Stunner. So that explains the theme. You get adapted to your ride as soon as you go riding on it.

                      4. FZ is not actually a touring bike, while you may perfectly handle long distance with uncanny comfort on an Avenger. Even if you have a pillion he/she will be in an entirely better zone of comfort with that cozy saddle support.

I am only putting up a point, and remember it is all the way your preferences that will lead you to a choice, so go for it. And last but not the least, please keep some budget with you for to buy later a proper set of riding gears. For guidance on riding gears do check out the respective thread.

P.S. - with utter respect, I would like to humbly request my fellow bikers here to avoid OT discussions

                        Serious OT.
See kid, you are assuming too much. I had recomended him the FZ(Yamaha is not indian comp). FZ was my first suggestion.... And he is getting it. My options also included Honda Trigger(Again, Honda is not Indian comp).
My one word(Foreign) has hurt you so much... Really sorry for that. And let me tell you, I would never say RTR is giving competition to other brands right now, TVS is failing miserably in getting a better product in todays time. My next potential upgrade is Duke 390(again KTM is foreign).
I know, you will keep on arguing to prove I am wrong. I dont blame your ignorance. You havnt achieved the age/ experience right now to discuss technical things.

Dear Monk......, I have some works for you now..... Clean the thread up .... You were doing no works since some days now...

Congrats friend, I also own the same limited edition but fz-16.
Price is 2k more from that of the normal version but it surely is a head turner and stands out from the crowd of other fz.
In chennai the on road price is around rs 80,600
Check with other dealers also in your city.
And please do test ride bike from each and every dealer and also check the after sales service given by them is satisfactory or not!
