Thanks for all your suggestions. When i borrowed my friends P200 for a couple of days. it returned a FE of 39KMPL. So i had thoughts at ZMA. But when the FE of ZMA dips below 40 then i am re thinking abt Unicorn. Moreover the pillion seat also seems comfortable on Unicorn than ZMA.

pillion seat uni v/s zma
i personally feel pillion would be more comfortable on long drives on a zma than uni because of the longer wheelbase and heavier, which means it takes all the bumps and ride becomes smooth.......unicorn with its mono suspension is good ,but zma might have a upper hand in rear seat comforts (height??? until u have saree guard shouldnt be a problem for ur mom/wife to st on it)....mileage? that is the question.....better confirm from known owners what the exact figure........if 35-38 is not a prob, then Zma is more value for the capacity + top end it offers along with its touring ability ...My vote is for Zma .............go for Unicorn for 1.Mileage2.Engine refinement (may be slightly better than Zma though Zma engine is a HONDA orginally )tour-master on exile

ZMA is no way comfortable for the pillion on long rides, i've experienced it myself.
But still if u don't mind the fuel efficiency.. go for the ZMA or else the UNICORN won't dissapoint u for sure. Those people who tell you not to take chances

I currently own a Uni and i can vouch for the fact that a Zma wont leave you complaining about vibes
However, the Uni's refinement throughout the rev range is certainly hard to match. Im kinda guessing, the Zma doesnt remain as smooth as a Uni at near redline revs.

+1 go for unicorn.... have used both zma and uni for several thousands of kms ..infact v have both the bikes and the comfort, refinement cant be matched by zma...go for zma only if ur looking for more power and topend...cruising capabilities, handling both are same...but i feel unicorn more comfortable out of the two...mileage i get 42-48kmpl on my unicorn 26-29kmpl on the zma....have never got more than 32 on the zma...i still wonder how other zma's are returning that much efficiency...

Well my suggestion is that unicorn is the best machine where handling is concern and more over the parts also very cheap than zma. The engine is also good of unicorn no doubts about it. Well it is a trouble free bike I am riding it since 2 years on the new one and previous one was also a unicorn which was with me for 2 years also.click me

Thanks for your suggestions. I am also thinking abt Gladiator SS/RS. I love the looks of the bike. Damn good. Infact i would say best of all the 125cc & 150cc's Excluding FZ16 & R15. Most of the time (95%) i ride it single. From the Gldiator thread, i get a feel that the bike is good only above 5K RPM. Since i ride it mostly on highways, would it fullfill my requirements. Can some glady owners help me.

Many have suggested ZMA. I did go thru the Karizma\Karizma R Thread. The FE hovers around 40 - 45 KMPL on Highways. But some where i have a feel like what if the FE goes below 40 KMPL. Currently my RX135 4 Speed gives exactly 40 KMPL @ a steady 75 Kmph. I Can't afford a bike where the mileage is less then 40 Kmpl, since my usage is close to 2500 Kms a month & moreover ZMA costs 80K on road in Chennai, Just giving a little thought abt it.

Don't risk it with the ZMA then, there are chances of the FE dropping to below 40 levels. And the FE of 40-45 can only be achieved with a relatively sedate riding style, with is quite difficult when you have a ZMA in between ur legs!
The Unicorn would be your best bet!

if you can afford the Uni, why think about the glady.... highway performance cannot be compared btw the Uni and Glady... and you almost get the same mileage from both... so its a easy choice... I Like the Glady bcoz its lighter by 20 kgs than Uni. But Glady doesn't seem to pull with a pillion on board. But i never had a chance to ride the Glady in Single. Though from the Gladiator threads i realise that it gud only above 5K RPM. Which roughly translates to 60 KMph. I do most of my commuting between 70 - 80 Kms constantly. So how well does the bike behave. Does it vibrate or does the engine tends to be harsh.??? any experience.
I have Unicron as my reserved choice. If nothing seems to fall in place then i will go for Uni.
