Also wonder how people sing of legacy of RE while it keeps manufacturing bikes with inconsistent quality. please correct me if i am wrong.

Among the 3 bikes mentioned above, i want to get one with most sedate riding position and best pillion comfort. can you all owners please advise?
Riding a RE is something different from the other bikes. I cannot explain the feeling. you have to experience it
However quality is a major issue. That is what made me sell my Classic 500.

Go for ZMA-R. IMO ZMR does not provides any significant benefits over ZMA-R. Also the R is lighter and easier to navigate.

IIRC, the monk had sat on the new model karizma and said that the.posture was the same. So have many other people. The pillion comfort may have been reduced though as compared to the older zmr. But am pretty sure it still might be better than the bikes available.in this segment. Nevertheless, take a td.

Thank you for responding folks. I guess test ride would be the best option.

Present Hero ZMR fulfills all your requirement, yes Avenger is great for pillion comfort but not for city riding, RE Electra will be also a good choice but needs lot of maintainance.. Good luck

Planning to ride zma - r, zmr and unicorn. Whichever is most comfortable, I will take that. Thanks for input.

I am always a big fan of Karizma since 2004, I like the ride quality, power and styling. Its good for long tours and also for city ridding... even a short ride will bring a smile in your face. Even Honda Unicorn is a good bike but cant be compared with Karizma. Both bikes are in different category different price tag. Karizma is definately better among two.

Go for Karizma. There is no bike that beats it in terms of city/highway comfort. The 17Bhp power is also sufficient to make you happy. Let me know once you made up your mind.

I know you are almost sold on the Karizma. But my advise would be - Wait (for a couple of months) because the update to Karizma is about to launch.

The looks are much better and am sure there will be improvements. (no point in buying a bike and seeing it's updated version cruise by)

Also although a rumor - We must not forget it's 2014 - Information Leaks are very accurate.

                  Happy Riding Buddy.

Thanks for suggestion. I am not set on karizma though. I am skeptical if anything other than Thunderbird would suit the ergonomics I am looking for. So everything depends on test drive now which I plan to take around April 20th.

Good choice, but how come a GS? It wasn't in the list either!

EDIT - since you got a bike, we can close the thread as well. Let me know whenever you feel it should be closed.

Can you share why you went with GS150R? I can see you found comfort & likable riding posture.

Karizma is completely out of stock in Hyderabad. Thunderbird and all other royal enfields had 4 months waiting period plus I was not sold on royal Enfield. That left me to look for unicorn and trigger. All honda dealers gave me hard time for test drive. I did manage to get small test rides. Then I rods GS150R. The ride quality was much better than trigger. So now it was unicorn vs GS150R. I really really like unicorn's engine note. Very fond of it. The seating posture was better than GS150R for me. But then that 6th gear pulled me towards GS150R. I have ridden a bike with 6th gear in past (Suzuki gsx650f) so I was aware of experience. I thought it would help cruising better than unicorn on Highway. So I traded off with riding posture and went with it.
