Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
Lets keep it out of the thread Rakesh! What we believe in has nothing to do with his what bike query. I said I hope his uncle is fine. That is irrespective of the fact that he's saying the truth or not and let us respect his relatives for that.
YES Sir and yes I do hope that person is fine . . .

it depends on the condition of the bike.. if everything is still stock, then it is not worth going for it.
if you are going for an used bike, better go for the stunner or an Ignitor... look wise both of them are stunning and comfortable..

Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
Bike is okay, seen some rough ride but no wheelies or stoppies. The bike looks dull due to neglect and a lot of crappy stickers, they can be removed, I guess and some buffing and polishing should bring out the shining again, from a glance, I feel like the chain sprocket, cables need to be changed and like usual, I'd replace both of the tubes and the consumables on a second hand bike. Give me a point to start bargaining. Pulsar135LS has 30k kms warranty, right?
Good thing that I have the service manual for P135LS, so I can service it myself.
I can get a Stunner or Ignitor but can't find a used one here also the pillion seat is high, so if I get a girlfriend, it would cause problem.
Can you explain the bold part? Typo? Or do I miss something?
Well, when I say stock, I mean no spare parts are changed, like the tires, sprockets, etc etc.. you know what I mean right? saying it because in case he purchases it, he will have to spend money to get them changed.. so what is the point in getting a bike if he has to change all the parts after purchase if all of them have worn out

Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
I understand Reneav, the tires looked like they would last another 10/15k kms I think, I'm going to convert to tubeless when I replace tires. Anybody has done it before?
Could you give me a figure to start the bargaining?

How much is he offering?? is the guy who is selling the bike literate in terms of bike technology and working?? if not fake him saying all these needs to be replaced and the condition is so and so.. try to bargain this way.. if he is literate.. then I don't know how to continue
and when you talk about replacing the tube tires to tubeless, it is very simple, it is just the air inlet mouth that needs to be changed to tubeless tire mouth.. which might at max cost you 50/- each..
but you can't be too sure that the alloys won't leak the air.. even a minute gap can leak the air..

Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
Asking 60k, almost pissed myself laughing when I heard it. Doesn't know much about biking, I'm gonna bargain at 30k as at the time he bought the bike, i cost around 60k so he can not expect to get 60k now. I'm saying tappet sounds are the sounds of broken bearings

Anybody else, please advise on pricing.
Hahaha.. good one.. can imagine that situation.. just look for gear noise and tell him it seems like the gears need some attention..
Max to max 35 man.. nothing more.. besides.. you can get a centura with better features within 50000

Assuming no accidents, IDV of the vehicle should be 85% of 60k = 51000.
Offer him half of that saying it would need at least 10k in maintenance. Nothing more than 25-28k.

Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!
Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
I'll try that, he is not gonna get anything more than 30k for sure. Bajaj spares are easily available AFAIK (Or as far as I experienced when sourcing sourcing spares for a P150).
Hope to own a bike one day too, and if things go as planned, this day won't be far away.

Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
Call into his insurance company ask if there was any claim. If he has very detailed service history better it is. 35-40k seems reasonable. It will leave you with enough money to do major service like replacing clutch plates, replacing front fork oil, brake oil, brake pads shoes, restoring rear suspension, new spark plugs, grease spit oil change etc you know.
Re: Sporty looking lightweight bike with good performance
I called the company and only found out he has 2 premiums due and no claim yet. The clutch plates had some life left, I planned to overhaul the forks and the steering bearings.
Unfortunately, my the money will be used for something else now and buying a bike is not gonna happen in near future. I hate it when people give false hope, anyway please inform me if you find P135LS at 25k range.
Damn! I'm so desperate for a bike that I'd sell my kidney for money now.

^^ Cleaner is on the loose again...
since we have come to a conclusion in this thread, let me go a bit off-topic and ask Cleaner to complete his bicycle logs (if that was true). Nonetheless, you write good, you know!
