Going as per your requirements, I would recommend D200.

      Yamaha YZF R15 V 2.0
      Yamaha YZF R15 V 2.0 (Oct, 2012 - Present)
      Yamaha YZF R3 (Sep, 2015 - Present)

My Review of Yamaha R3 at 100K ODO

        Sorry about that monk sir...

The D200 is a perfect bike.. i thought of it but it just seems too common in my family...
All my brothers have dukes... thought of gettin something else...
Im not such a huge pulsar fan.. so thought of ruling it out...
        I sorta like GT250 but...

You don't want a Duke, NS200 (or any pulsar) as well as you don't want a faired bike. Your budget is 1L and can be stretched. Very difficult to suggest anything for you, what about RE, for your build it will suit, but looks like you want something faster and agile which RE won't do. I can only think of FZ-S, you can spend the pending money in some mods / upgrades.

For your height I think you won't be able to place your legs properly on the GT250 comet, naked version, anyways if you are interested, PM me, I know a place where a Comet is up for sale, he's quoting it too much, may be you can bargain and speak to him. . . Do call me if you need help (PS: Only on Saturday/Sunday evenings, that's when am free). . .

Other than that NS/R15 is good, though touring is hard in R15 but it's manageable, have done some trips on my friend's R15. . .

            Cheers!!!
            Yamaha Rx135 - 2005 - 2007 (stolen )
            Scooty Pep - 2008 - 2012 (sold)
            Honda Unicorn - 2012 - 2015 (crashed)
Hero Honda Splendor+ 2015 - present (temporary ride)
            Bajaj Pulsar AS200 - 16th September 2015 - present ride

            10 years into riding :D

I avoided fazer as you did not want faired bikes. Fazer could be considered for touring also, but if you are ok with bikini fairing then it has to be the Karizma R which is best suited for all your needs.

On an open highway, NO. Not so much that would bother you. In congested traffic, yes. All air cooled engines behave this way!

Don't know about others, but my bike has never heated so much so that I could bake food on it.
I guess the reply was pun intended.

I suggest you read the ownership threads of all bikes you're interested in; to get a proper gist of the bikes' behavior.
It would be more accurate when coming from actual users/owners.

All air-cooled engines heat up in traffic but on highways, both the karizmas are perfect. They have good torque and refined engine which is what you need at those speeds on the highway..
