Also the Eurogrip tires that come with 200 NS are really nasty. slips like hell even on the dry road, forget about rain and wet roads.

The rear tire of Fazer is soft compound rubber, tubeless radial one, which gives superior grip on tarmac but not so good for off roading.
Thanks buddy, Pulsar 200NS was out of my budget, hardly I have stretched it to 88k. I was also considering avenger but after reading reviews about bajaj's reliability I dropped the idea. Tires stability on wet roads was necessary and karizma r doesn't appealed me, so took Fazer yesterday.
its awesome to ride it. Currently I am trying to complete its run in period and riding it below 3.5k rpm, but this beast is always provoking me to rev more.

Headlights are disappointing in this bike. Was riding at 9 pm yesterday in city and I realised visibility was not upto the mark. May be I have to adjust its focus.

also I have read that by adjusting high/low beam switch in middle, both headlight can be turned on. Is it recommended and will it put stress on battery?

Adjusting the switch in the middle, is a temporary solution. When you take it for the first service in a few weeks, ask the service men to set it according to your needs, (the focus, both headlights ON etc), and they will do it. I've heard of many people getting it done on their bikes on first or second service. This ensures that the bike's warranty is still applicable. Getting it adjusted anywhere else will cancel the warranty. Also the authorized service centers will know, how changing the settings will affect the battery life and reliability.

I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Yes bro. Puja done already..he he..

will definitely not stress the engine in run in period.

but can you tell me how can I stop tripmeter reading?

ride is butter smooth and I am loving the digital tachometer compared to analog one of szr.

Press the button for 4-5 seconds and it will reset to zero.

Hello guys.. I have a question..

while on run in period of fazer, when should o change its engine oil for first time.

some says it should be changed after 300-400km (both engine oil and oil filter), but in owner's manual it states that oil change should be on 1st service or after 1000km.

Can i do ityself and which and how much engine oil to use?

also i have read that chain of fazer/fz should be cleaned and lubed once in a week. So which cleaner and lube to use?

sorry for these general questions but i used to wash and wax my previous Yamaha szr and nothing more. Don't know how to take care of internal parts?

1000kms is very long. Get the first service between 400-600kms and do change the oil-filter every time you change the engine oil.
For quantity, manual has the info.

As for lubing the chain, do it every 500kms during dry season and every 250-300kms during monsoon. You can use Motul chain cleaner and lube (these are available at svc), would cost something rs. 1100 for both.

                              Ride safe and have fun.

First oil filter and engine oil should be changed at around 500 km.s. Then the servicing/changing interval should be 2000 km.s. Chain should be cleaned and lubed whenever you feel it is necessary(during mosoon, it should be 250-300 km.s and during other time of the year, it should be 500 km.s/15 days). For cleaning/washing/polishing I'd prefer Motul and Waxpool.
And remember to change the air filter at least once a year.
