    Duke390 or ninja 300

    Hii guys,
    I want to buy a bike and my choices are duke 390 & ninja 300. But i am confused which one should i go for so please help me in suggesting which one to go for. Currently i am owning yamaha R15 V2.

    Go for the bike that would make you fall in love every time you ride it and which makes you turn around every time you park it and move away from.
    Your heart shouldn't burn later for the bike you didn't buy of the two, once it whizzes past!

        Because you ride R-15, let's change the 'genre' to super-naked . Duke 390 . Awesome power, comfy and total VFM .

          As our Mod has said, most important thing is connection.
          Then comes the performance, reliability and other things. Would suggest you to go through the respective ownership threads and see what other owners have to say and what problems have they faced.

          As for now, since you already ride R15, go for Ninja 300.
          Ninja 300 is premium is almost everything, whereas D390 is a true VFM bike.
          Ride safe and have fun.

            I heard of oil seepage and some chain sprocket problem in duke 390 so i had doubt over its reliability because i want a reliable bike.

                If you like touring much then Ninja 300 but if you want total vfm with great power then duke 390.

                  You have the answer to your own question. If you have a doubt over the reliability of D390, then don't think twice. go for the Ninja..

                    If I have To choose I will take the ninja 300 anyday because without proper windshield there is no use of power.i have experienced this on my pulsar 200ns naked bike.both have same top speed or have 10-15km speed difference.u will cruise on high speed on the highway on ninja 300 as compared to the duke you will get the excellent twin cylinder engine and unmatched reliablity

                        Hands down Ninja 300.

                        I own a P200 and I'm planning to buy a new bike soon. I was in a similar dilemma but after researching on both the bikes, I knew which one to buy. Only downfall for N300 I see is the pricing but good quality doesn't come cheap right?

                          All depends on how you normally use your bike and your preset preferences...

                          N300 - Superb reliable dual cyl engine, premium parts, track bike performance up top - choose if you like playing with higher rpms. Windscreen is a big turn on for touring, Kawa quality and price.

                          D390 - Nimble, lightweight, stuntable, hooliganistic, torquey hammering single cyl engine, VFM - Choose if you like low down torque, lane splitting work, short runs, a little bit of offroad.

                          Best is to test ride each and satisfy your confusions yourself by feel.

                          Have fun choosing...

                            Chandan92, you say you come from R15 background, so the answer depends really on the priorities here. If you still want/like the R15 riding style and revving then its N300 but at a high price. If you want a naked which is also a rocket and comes at a pocket friendly cost then it will be the D390.
                            True, the D390 has some small issues but for the price they giving that machine, we can be ignored them IMO.

                              the Ninja will be perfect upgrade for you as you already ride a fully faired 150cc sports bike. however the Duke will undoubedly be more fun to ride once you get used to its naked nature, the feel etc.. As I've heard, you need to rev the N300 way high to fully enjoy it.
                              You might also wanna wait for the CBR300 which is on it's way to India very soon. Other options for fully faired bikes would be the RC series & Pulsar 200/400 SS which are coming very soon.
