The only problem with suzuki is the low no. of showrooms and with it service centres , but now they are trying to cover up the ground and one can hope increased no of service centres, as for the quality of product, hayate is a quite bike with smooth engine and the newer hayate is coming with tubeless tyres.

The thread about most trusted manufacturers is dated. Most of the votes gone for Hero and Honda.

Though I am not considering Discover 125M/100M, I would like to know few things. Is there any 125M/100M owners here?
Why did you choose 125M/100M over other bikes?
Does these bothers you?
- Not enough distance between the seat and the handlebar.
- Narrow handlebar
- Raised foot peg

What do you guys think about Neo?
Should I give it another try?

Hayate - 4k off on on-road price.
- Is this offer because of festive season? or
- Are they clearing old stock? (In website, spec says - "Tubeless" tyres but the ones in the showroom are tube tyres) or
- Could this be because of any defects?
Finding how much the bike is used can't be known as they are keeping the wires to speedometer, battery etc., unconnected.

Rightly said... Too much of anything is not good. I am kinda confused a little.Originally posted by prathappa View PostThe more you think, the more you get confused.
This purchase is like I am moving from P4 to i3 even if I am going for 100/110cc bikes like City+ (XL Super to City+). As suggested, I am not even looking at Bajaj now (which I was so keen before). I mean I am not leaning on one over other. I am not asking for RE500 comfort, P220NS power, TVS Sport mileage. Just that best possible things in my budget. Those 5 are the models, I highly doubt I would go for any other than that 5.Originally posted by prathappa View PostAre you more aligned towards comfort or money??
To be honest, I fall in love with Phoenix's look. I really wanna go for it. You know... NO MONEY, NO HONEYOriginally posted by prathappa View PostGo with what your heart says now.
Yeah, choice is mine and I don't wanna go for one out of ignorance and wanna be an informed buyer.Originally posted by prathappa View PostMany people hav given their views. Its your choice now.

Honda gets overwhelmingly positive opinion here. So the reason for asking if I have to check Neo again. It shouldn't be as bad as my test ride if it's a good bike, right?
City+ seems good to me. If I can extend my budget to 60k, then Phoenix. (I can't seem to find/understand the justification of going for X pro over Phoenix).
I will be booking around 15th of Oct. Till then, I keeping my eyes/ears open for any kinda opinion/suggestion about my choices, you can even criticize.

How much money do you exactly have?
If you are not able to get 60k/Pheonix, then choose between Neo and City+, both these bikes shouldn't let you down, thousands of people buy them and they are trusted bikes.~Accelerate Fast ! Brake Faster~

Congrats on your selection. Choice of color is subjective. Stand in front of both of these and see which one looks better to you.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: [RFC]: Bike suggestion
Finally, I have bought Star City+ (Titanium Grey).
I didn't rode much. Just from showroom to home. Until completing all the registration/insurance formalities, I don't think I will be riding. I will post my view about this bike after done few hundred kilometers.
Thanks for everyone's suggestion, advice, opinion, comments...

Re: [RFC]: Bike suggestion
After 200kms
After riding moped for years, I find it little difficult to ride in city. Shifting gears every now and then... ufffff...
I automatically down shift after braking, though most of the time I don't need to, which gives a little jerk. Need to learn to ride smoothly.
Bike reaches 50kmph effortlessly, which is more than I am used to when riding moped.
I am kinda feeling (not always), the back wheel is little unstable (kinda wobbling) above 40kmph. I don't know whether it's wheel alignment or insufficient air pressure or the fear creeps into me when riding 40+. Will sure ask the mechanic to check the wheel/tyre are alight.
Roughly it returned 36kmpl for the first 3+ ltr of petrol. Not good
May be...
- Petrol evaporated a lot as I didn't ride much in the first two weeks?
- Somebody stole the fuel.
- Dealer said they poured 750ml of petrol, I doubt that.
The last 1 ltr returned 75kmpl (95% highway ride). I have never ridden a bike this long before, this is the first time. In the manual, it says that during cooling in period, my top speed should be 50kmph MAX. But sometimes, bike went little past up to 60kmph. I guess, it's not a big deal.
- Rear view mirrors are wide and could see a lot more than what I could with XL super's. (Pretty much most of the things are better than XL).
- Sometime I need 2 or 3 attempts to start the vehicle in the morning and need to keep the engine run for about a minute before taking off.
- Bike is less heavier than I expected.
- I had to look at the speedometer and engine sound to guess what gear I am in when running. Pretty much I am clueless when I come to halt.
- I find little difficult to bring to neutral from top gear (I start shifting after bike comes to a complete halt), I mean gear is not shifting. I don't know whether it's me (a noob) or the bike.

Re: [RFC]: Bike suggestion
Things will get better with time. And don't think about mileage before the first servicing(for any bike).A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: [RFC]: Bike suggestion
First things first, congratulations on your new ride brother.
Now for the trouble starting the bike in the morning, it is normal with all bikes and with the winters coming, the problem is going to increase as the temperature decrease. The solution to this problem is to start the bike and keep it idling for 2-3 minutes, you can take a cloth and wipe the bike clean in that time. This is ensure that the engine is warm, the engine oil will circulate to all nooks and corners of the engine making everything smooth, hence the life of the engine will increase and so will the mileage.
for the gear shifting problem, its not a big deal, when the bike does not shift, release the clutch lever about half, you'll hear the gear click in place, reengage the clutch and you can proceed to put it in neutral. But it is a good practice to shift down as you decrease the speed rather than stopping to complete halt and then shifting all the down from top gear. Practice it and you'll get the hang of it.
Happy mile munching and ride safe.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
