I went from a Unicorn to Stunner and was such a disaster! I think apart from GS150R, no other bikes comes close to comfort like a Unicorn. From what I read of your requirements, you need a fast commuter and the Unicorn fits the bill. Stunner has a sporty seating position and that hurts my back exactly like how you are feeling. Looks are secondary if the ride becomes uncomfortable.
Stunner has a beautiful engine and I have the PGM-FI too, but its a far cry from the comfort of a Unicorn. The only regret with the Unicorn that I had was its poor lighting. I it think the GS150R fares a better in that aspect.

Go for a bike with monoshock setup instead. I personally feel that monoshock is better than gas charged duel.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostI just want to see if they suits me or not since last one month there is a lower back pain..

Re: Is buying Suzuki GS150R is worth in current scenario ?
Although I am riding Suzuki GS150R for almost 2 years now and would suggest this bike to every serious rider who wants to commute long distance daily, my only worry is would the company, which had already treated this as a step son, ever since its launch, after the launch of Gixxer supply the spare parts for GS150R in the times to come.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostHello Friends,
I am planning to buy a new bike .... my budget is not more than 80K... Staying in Delhi Height is around 6.5".
Infact, earlier too I wants to purchase this bike due to its height and mainly for its sixth gear too, but dropped the idea due to finance and brought stunner in 2013.
I don't want to pinpoint + / - of my bike (Stunner).
How much price I get achieved while selling my bike, which is almost 1 year old, runs only 9830km with no single scratch and almost in showroom conditions.
My office if 35km far from my home.. which means total journey is around 70km , in which 70% is highway journey.
Now my confusion is that GS150R is almost 5 years old bike which hardly gets any upgrade in mechanical area since it launched.
IS it worth in buying this bike now? or shall I considered other bikes like Hero CBZ / Hero Hunk (If available in market).
Please pitch some light on this.. and help me in clearing my doubts.
Thanks in advance
Gagan
Personally I feel GS 150R would last longer than Gixxer. So far I have clocked 30000+ kms and have changed its front disk break shoes ONLY in July last when I came back from Ladakh. (You might know I had earlier covered Delhi-Kolkata-Bhutan on this bike besides a few 1000+ rides in Himalayas during the last two years). My most recent being Delhi-Chakrata-Tiger Fall-Hanol-Hatkoti-Chansal Pass only those who have been to these places know how difficult these terrains are, (may be more difficult than Ladakh ride).
It crosses 110 kmph mark very easily without any vibration and gives a good mileage in city conditions of around 55+. What more one can expect from a 150cc Bike. ( I have touched 118 kmph on this bike quite often on highways and my 350 cc Bulleteer friends envy this bike).
As per your record, you have not retained any bike for long and hence might not have any problem till you ride it for around 2 years, but might not get any good resale prize as it is not popular in North.
Now choice is yours. BTW I am 100% satisfied customer of this bike and might retain it for long.

True .. and i know you are the best while coming to explain this bike specially here in dDelhi. if i am not wrong you staying close to krishna nagar..Originally posted by Hoodibaba View PostAlthough I am riding Suzuki GS150R for almost 2 years now and would suggest this bike to every serious rider who wants to commute long distance daily, my only worry is would the company, which had already treated this as a step son, ever since its launch, after the launch of Gixxer supply the spare parts for GS150R in the times to come.

Infact .. such all things making me to think about this bike 1) Sixth gear 2) Suitable for tall riders 3) vibration less engine 4) its mileage..
I will check with suzuki dealer how much they are offered me in exchange of my bike... but i am also afraid about spare part availability , if this bike keep me happy for long

Re: Is buying Suzuki GS150R is worth in current scenario ?
My two cents on your query, i have been riding my GS for close to 83K kms till now in Delhi. I think i am in a good position to vouch for its supreme comfort and reliable engine.
I ride approx 100kms daily and never had complaints regarding any of problems you have in long rides and that too in city traffic.(you know gurgoan ki bheed
). I am 6'1 and i can understand why you are not looking at Gixxer. I have test ridden it and i too found it little bit dwarf like.
Anyway i would have recommend you Karizma R, but i think it is out of your budget. If you can find someone who is ready to sell a GS, i think you can strike a good deal, since GS does takes a significant hit when it comes to resale value.
Hope that helps

Now coming towards budget i m really on tight line ..wase i like frazer, karizmaR, zmr..but yeh abhi budget mein nahi hai

jammbuster i still will tell you to think it over, even though GS is good bike the problem with the service is evident. Also i don't know what will happen to there spare parts considering already you have to wait for some spares.
Since you will buy a new bike now, so i think you should think long-term. I still think Gixxer is a good bet, but it looses out on the height front else it is a excellent bike.

Search for karizma in olx you will be amazed to look at the price ,good examples starting as low as 20k even R version .Originally posted by jammbuster View PostVery much true....as my office is mg road, gurgaon.. The traffic and the roads from vikaspuri to gurgaon really not good.

You cab try 200NS too in second hand market .
Do know that its your skill to analyse the bike and luck to get a non abused one .
But definitely it will be a vfm buy.

Re: Is buying Suzuki GS150R is worth in current scenario ?
I suggest not to go in for second hand bike. You never know when any problem crop up. Karizma is also a good option besides Suzuki GS 150R (although I still doubt you would get spare parts for this bike, in case you keep it for long). To my mind they cannot keep two bikes of almost equal cc in production line. They might be planning to discontinue the GS150R production in the time to come. We have no choice since we already are riding this bike but you still have options.

Re: Is buying Suzuki GS150R is worth in current scenario ?
I agree with most of the people here who are suggesting you the Pulsar 200 NS.It is the only bike in your budget which will suit your height.Suzuki GS150R is a good reliable machine but at this time, I won't recommend it to you since I am expecting that the new engine of Suzuki Gixxer will make its way to GS150R which is better in almost every term.Suzuki Gixxer has very low seat height, still it is a better bike than GS150R in every term except comfort.GS150R is more a commuter bike than a street sport bike.Of course you can check photo album of my Suzuki Gixxer here
